I really can't picture Amy in that role...
Sara Gettelfinger is a PERFECT pick...would love to see her.
Tari Kelly is playing Sally in Cabaret right now.
I would have liked to see Rachel York in those shoes had she not joined the "Camelot" tour.
^O god, not Rachel York, I can see it now...
Sara is deinite. She better audition.

I thought I heard that Amy Spanger was doing the first national of Drowsy. Have they even started casting? Who knows.
So when is Sutton leaving the show?

Have you people seen her. She's by far the best person for the job.
Lauren Kennedy.
My first pick for this role would be Nancy Anderson but to whomever suggested Jessica Grove...now she would be great too.
I just don't get Nancy Anderson. Never have, never will.

Rachel York would actually be better suited to the title role.

Nancy Anderson would be fantastic!
This may be a tougher role to fill than it first seems. Afet all, many of us believe Sutton Foster is one of the very true actual "triple threats" on Broadway these days. Her tap dancing ability is as good as her voice, which is saying alot. I hear a number of names thrown around but few of them are actually "replacements" for the Tony Award winner.
What about Tina Madigan?!?!? OMG (just figured i would throw it out there since you know...)
Elaine Stritch ?
EDITED: This is only IF Stritch doesnt get cast as Ariel first.

^ Lol. Elaine would be amazing.
I can see Mylinda Hull in the role.
I agree with allofmylife. Who do we have that really does what Sutton Foster does? Some people get annoyed by her perkiness, but very few leading ladies can act, sing, and dance as well as she can.
Oh my God, Susan Egan all the way.

- It's sad if Sutton becomes the "standard" or the one to beat for triple threats. We still have Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth, Charlotte d'Amboise, Karen Ziemba, Brenda Braxton, etc. And lets not forget the original triple threat, Gwen Verdon. Those ARE some of the triple threats to beat.

I love her, but... no.

Once again not gonna happen..her baby is due early next month and she's already stated she has no intention of doing any shows that require her to move across the country or that have an 8 a week schedule for several years.
