The actresses who play Fantine really do NEED to be in their late 20’s/early 30’s. Most actresses who are the accurate age for Fantine don’t have the life experience to play the character well.
I've watched this video to many times.
I've only seen the video once. I am controling myself not to see any of the videos again till I see her on the 17th! But it seems I cant help it. I really cant wait to see her on the 17th! I will be pissed if she's out on that day, and I would fight to see it again till I see her do Fantine.
I LOVE HER! I really cant wait!
GOD BLESS everyone.
and take care.
And by the way, did anyone notice her natural beauty? She still looks fresh and amazing without make up! Can't wait to see her!
Beyond words! Lea is a vocal and acting powerhouse! Notice her facial expressions, and how she makes every note count to convey the emotions of her character. The producers really ought to immortalize her rendition and portrayal of Fantine.
Not to mention that she looks like she could totally be Ali Ewoldt's mother.
Not that she looks old, but you know. They look remarkably similar.
Gosh, she looks and sounds gorgeous! Can't wait to see her in April!
I absolutely agree, MovieGuy. They could totally pass for mother and daughter.
o well i'll just rush it and sit thru her part then leave
And then come back for the last 10 minutes?
She sounds soo good...her voice has really matured nicely!
So has anyone seen Lea Salonga's "preview" show last March 2? How was it? :)
Damn, I kind of wish that the producers chose her as their original choice so that Lea could be eligible for a Tony nomination.

Broadway.com's videos sure look puny compared to the new stuff on this site, huh?
^I think the video's on this site are too big. Broadway.com's are just fine in my opinion.

I can't wait until Wednesday! She is still every bit as lovely, charming, beautiful, and talented!
I knew we should have waited to see Le Miz
Oh well, at least the rest of the cast than was fine

Agreed. Just like something else I could mention, size isn't the issue. It's the quality.
i am so excited! she looks and sounds amazing! yay! finally! :)
i really dont like her voice at all- its so thin and boring!- but her acting is impressive, almost as good as Daphnes which I was not expecting.
do you think critics are going to review her?
^Do you even know who Lea Salonga is?

Oh come on, he's allowed to dislike her.
^True, I came off the wrong way. I was saying that because it seemed the poster did not know who she was or her work in past. Like Lea was new to Broadway or something...

really?
...or was that a joke? I'm too gullible...unless it was actually...
Hi Daphne!
"Oh, come on, he's allowed to dislike her."
No, no he's not. In my book, you can't dislike the following things (unless you have excrutiatingly detailed reasons that make sense as to why you do): Liz Callaway's singing voice, Lea Salonga, Julie Andrews' singing voice (primarily in My Fair Lady), Rex Harrison's performance in My Fair Lady, Robert Preston's performance in The Music Man, Gypsy, Send in the Clowns, Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice, Meryl Streep and Audrey Hepburn.
Ok, you're allowed to dislike them, but it just annoys me if you do.
