omg i saw the show tonight and it literally was the best theatrical experience of my life... literally. I was sitting on the stage.
Comment:
I came to New York in preperation to moving to the city in the spring and wanted to see Xanadu, so i had the fortunate pleasure of seeing the show from the on stage seats... this is a truly un real theatrical experience As a working theatre professional myself i was so amazed with the dedication and talent of all the cast and crew. Thanks to all and i am so happy to be a FANADU!!!

I have a picture of myself under the Heaven on Wheels sign, but I dont know how many other people would find it as amusing as I do...
I have so many pictures but I'll only give a few.
Xanadu isn't like other shows. It sucks you into this world and you never want to leave. Everytime I see it, I forget that there is life outside the Helen Hayes. The cast is so incredibly nice and the fans are the best. Long live Xanadu and HUZZAH to all!

My Fanadu-ism started in about first or second grade. My mom introduced me to the movie and I was completely in love with it. During a music class at school in second grade I brought in my lovely Xanadu record (yes, record) to "show off" to the class. I remember writing my name on the record cover so everyone would know that it was mine. Yes, those days were quite magical! Now, nearly ten years later, I have rekindled my love for Xanadu and cannot wait to see it on Broadway!!

Hey everyone! Thought I'd share, too:
"Xanadu makes you feel suspended in time at the Helen Hayes theater. Everyone I know who has seen the show has taken the fall for it. By the end, you are dancin' in the aisles, and you don't want to walk away. Whenever you're away from the Helen Hayes, you suddenly cannot wait to plan your next trip back. Xanadu is magic!" ~ Liana S.
Here's my philosophy on Xanadu:
If you aren't smiling at Xanadu, you're dead inside.
-The Shapusens (or Amy V. and Courtney S. if you like)
The fact that I've had the opportunity to say that to at least 3 different people this week is actually kind of disturbing. haha.
So here are our meager additions to the photo extravaganza:
Here we are being our friends' own personal fanadus when they performed Xanadu in a college cabaret. See how thrilled and amazed we are to meet MCLA's own personal Kira:
Here we are finally getting a picture of ourselves in front of the sign. You can also see our poloroid with Cheyenne in this too!
The next two pictures are from Saturday November 10th. I think we all know what day that was. Here are our various stages of relief when we were finaly able to confirm that Xanadu wasn't affected by the strike. (This was after 4 hours traveling and 2 hours wandering of mental torture in the city)
And finally, our pictures with Kerry. This was one of the first nights of previews, so there was literally 1 other fan outside waiting for a picture, and a bunch of the cast members' family. We were waiting with James Carpinello parent's, which was kind of sad in retrospect. Anyways, Kerry's friends were nice enough to wait for a second for us to take these pictures before whisking her away.
Here she is with me, making a horrible face, but that is because she was talking to me when the flash went on.
However, Courtney made out much better. They obiously had nothing to talk about :)
Thats's all! Everyone else's pictures are much more exciting, but we thought we'd share in the fun!
