Terra C is on as "Velma" until June 9th. I'm seeing the show on June 8th, so I'm thrilled!
Oh be still my heart. I just had an extended conversation with Jason Patrick Sands. He was ever so nice and recognized me when he saw me. He looked especially buffed up close. I was waiting by the entrance. I need smelling salts.

Sorry, but I am typing on my smart phone. I also met Richard Ridge while waiting to enter the theatre. He was very nice. We had a brief conversation. It is actually a full house for tonite's show.

Why does this show keep running?
More importantly, why do we have this thread?
We have this thread because despite all the uncertainty and pain in the news, and potential pitfalls and stalls in our personal lives; Chicago persists and thrives, and PLFanatic celebrates as its most loyal cheerleader. The world would be a better place if we all had one ounce of his unbridled enthusiasm.
"A Director": This show is running because it's relevant. There are many examples today of celebrities who flourish for mysterious reasons. Plus, the show is entertaining and has been so for all of these years. "ethan231h": This thread exists because no one else had done it before. "Chicago" has many fans, here and all over the world. They appreciate the show even if you do not. If you don't like reading about the show, then perhaps this thread is not for you. "Rumpelstiltskin": Thank you for your kind words. Although I may detect a whiff of sarcasm, your words are appreciated. I'm just a fan of the show. As I have mentioned before, when I first started visiting NYC in 2006, I really didn't give the show much of a thought. When I first saw it five years later, I fell in love with it. I am a fan of both the Broadway and touring show. Countless shows have come and gone since late 1996, but "Chicago" endures. May it continue to present its magic for years and years.
Here is an interview of the current "Chicago" tour cast in Seoul, South Korea. (Yahoo.com) http://news.yahoo.com/the-broadway-cast-of-chicago-comes-to-south-091614875.html
Nope. No sarcasm. That's not who I am.
Thanks Rumple.
I was going to say, I didn't detect any sarcasm in his compliment.

I for one really loved the show and can see why it's still running. Brandy was perfect last month and I wish she'd record her songs in the show. She sounds so lush on Funny Honey.
Brandy Norwood will be off on Sat. June 27th (both shows) and Sun. June 28th (both shows). This will give the Roxie understudies: Tonya Wathen, Angel Reda or Lara Seibert Young a chance to shine.
Tonya Wathen is still in the show? I saw her back in 2013 and she was terrific!
Here are some fantastic pictures of the current "Chicago" international tour sit-down in Seoul, South Korea. http://www.playdb.co.kr/magazine/magazine_temp_view.asp?kindno=4&no=1302

I found this video from a Seoul magazine site. The first video shows Marco Zunino as "Billy" and Dylis Croman as "Roxie." There's a second video: "All That Jazz" and "When You're Good To Mama" on the same page. http://www.playdb.co.kr/magazine/MovieView.asp?sReqPlayNo=76710&sReqKind=017008&sReqMediaNo=60845

Hmmm? I guess she might do o.k dancing -wise, but can she even sing? If she can't carry a tune, then she' s going to be a big hot mess.
there's been worse, I'm sure. Christie Brinkley, I'm glaring at you. She couldn't sing, act OR dance.
