Master of the house quick to catch yer eye Never wants a passerby to pass him by Servant to the poor, butler to the great Comforter, philosopher and life long mate...
Oh, and the other one:
I believe in love I believe in love I believe in love I do believe in love I believe that now is a time for all good men to believe in love...
I guess that depends on which arrangement you hear of "I Believe in Love," but the one they did at Encores! was so damn catchy.
"The Game" - Damn Yankees "The Rain in Spain" - My Fair Lady "You Did It" - My Fair Lady (Oh my lord. When I was in this show, all it took for this song to get stuck in my head for HOURS at a time was for someone in passing to say "you did it," and they didn't even have to be talking to me) "Fabulous Feet" - The Tap Dance Kid "Go Into Your Dance" - 42nd Street
Lately, "The Gods Love Nubia" from Aida has been stuck in my head CONSTANTLY but I don't know how much of that is about it being catchy and how much of that is about being a Nubian in that show.
ANYTHING from La Cage! I've had "With Ann On My Arm" stuck in my head from the minute I walked out of church this morning. Don't know why. Yesterday it was "La Cage Aux Folles" and "Put A Little More Mascara On." Other candidates: "Oh What a Beautiful Morning"; and "Oklahoma" from Oklahoma; "America" and "I Feel Pretty" from WWS. I guess that's a lot of tunes, but they all get in my head and require divine intervention to dislodge.
"And the postman sighed as he scratched his head, you really rather thought she ought to be dead..."
I Feel Pretty...Ihave forgotten the backstage pain of hearing that song every night.

To show my gratitude, I'll offer you this pointy black hat, which is just like the one Original Wicked Witch Margaret Hamilton wore in the movie!
IDINA MENZEL
What a great idea! How about throughout the play, you continue to offer me things like a black cloak, or a black
cape, or a broom to make me look more and more like Margaret Hamilton did! These attempts at humor will be painfully
predictable from a mile away!
AUDIENCE collectively groans.
"The internet is for porn"- Avenue Q It pops into my head everyday at some time and i sing it happily in the car! as well as "if you were gay", and "everyone's a little bit racist"
From a classic musical: My Fair Lady (I have grown accostumed to her face) From a modern musical: DRS (Love sneaks in)
Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."
Aigoo, I am myself a grammar fiend, but I am unsure of "catchiest" or "most catchy." The general rule in English is that if the word contains two or more syllables, it is proceeded by "most." According to this rule, it would be "most catchy."
I also agree with "You Can't Stop the Beat." What do you think of "Willkommen" from Cabaret? Whenever I hear that song I can't get it out of my head.
"I've got a fever, and the only perscription is more cowbell!!!!"
