photo i would make plans for a date in 2016 and buy now. There are plenty of $89 tickets in early 2016, and the price will likely go up after the opening.
"Check some Wednesdays and Sundays in October, looks like some more $89 seats were released. (Schwarzenegger voice): Do it NAOUW!"
hahaha! Ok let me check again. When I checked January I didn't see any at those prices. Front Mezz was still $177 - I just can't believe (well I can) that the theater has gotten so expensive. I lived in NYC about 8 years ago and even then the most you would spend was about $120 for Wicked and that was considered outrageous.
We relied so much on lotteries and rush tickets but now that we don't live there it's so much harder to see certain shows if you're in town with only a few days to play the lottery.
He is onstage for 9 minutes and only sings 1 song which he also once reprises. It's possible he could have no understudy but that would be odd, I mean Jonathan Groff isn't super man.
I'm looking at September now on Telecharge, and I'm not seeing anything remotely like $130 center orchestra seats. Even Row A all the way over on the side (partial view) is $167. Row B orchestra center is premium.
Javier Munoz had understudied for King George at the Public (he had posted a picture of himself with the crown on during a rehearsal.) Perhaps he is covering on Broadway as well.
