Fantastic cast! Very exciting. I know most people will be excited about Aduba and Jones (rightly so!) but I'd also like to shout out Kara Young. She delivered 2 exquisite performance Off-Broadway last season - a small-but-memorable role in "Halfway Bitches Go Straight To Heaven" and the leading role in "All the Natalie Portmans." She is seriously one to watch!
Wild that this is Uzo Aduba's first Broadway show since she became recognizable on TV (her other 2 credits, Godspell and Coram Boy, were ensemble parts). No doubt she has turned down a lot of Broadway roles in plays and musicals.
Yes! Exciting to finally have her back on the NY stage. I believe her only stage role since becoming famous has been The Maids on the West End. She was supposed to do Toni Stone Off-Broadway, but dropped out.
She was great in Godspell. She was indeed part of an ensemble cast, but it was a notable role.
Very excited to see Edmund Donovan added to the cast, as I greatly enjoyed his performances in Clarkston and Greater Clements. Between him and Kara Young, we've got two promising young performers in this piece!
