Broadway's Tony-winning revival of Jason Robert Brownand Alfred Uhry's Parade will embark on a national tour beginning in January 2025. The production will launch from Minneapolis' Orpheum Theatre. Casting and further dates are to be announced.
The official premiere in Minnesota will follow technical rehearsals and public preview performances as Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, New York.
I get schedules were at play, but it’s a shame this production couldn’t do LA/DC/Chicago runs after it closed on Broadway. A small tour using the Broadway set was its best bet in my eyes
Ben Platt should play the bigger cities like Chicago, LA, & San Francisco. It could help his career more than his solo tour did. I finally watched Theatre Camp, and it is amusing but is perhaps too "inside baseball" to reach a wider audience than just theatre fans. Getting better known outside New York might help him also reach a wider audience with his film career.

I think he would do it in a heartbeat. From what I remember, he was fighting to do this role on Broadway way before the recent revival was done. Since you are from DC like me, I hope you saw his brilliant turn in Studios Theatres "Torch Song". I would love to see him do the tour.
This show was ahead of its time. Remember the original NYT review and then it limping along for just a few months.....well, look who got the last laugh.
