Personally, I love me a good finale and sadly I don't get it in many shows, the ONLY finale I LOVE LOVE LOVE is the Finale to RENT. I'm sorry, but that is the hands down, BEST finale number ever.

I have to agree with Franklin Cabaret has an amazing finale.

I for one did not care for Rent's finale. When she coughs, wakes up, and screams "I'm BACK..." too corny for me.

I loved the finale from Les Mis, with all of the dead members of the cast showing back up on stage for the wedding.

And the finale from Titanic again with the dead memebers...I think it's something to do with realising how many people died. Always gets me.

In my eyes - Titanic, hands down.
Love the ending to Follies.

If you'd count Rose's Turn (plus the little bit of diologue after), I think it's the best, closly followed by Cabaret.

I love the finale to "Wicked". Not the music to it but the actual finale during the show. I was cheering and almost crying when I saw it. Even the people who had been there before were excited. There is just something about it.

Hairspray is a joy to sit through, but YCSTB is the icing on the already delicious cake that sends you into a diabetic coma!

I'll have to agree with Hairspray. Sometimes it can be a bit over the top though

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

I very much agree that Titanic has the best finale...I was able to be there the night the show closed and you could see that the cast was so moved...the tears were real. I really effected me...imagine a 16 year old girl walking back to the hotel sobbing...yep that's what the ending did to me.

(Les Miserables is also right up there...another tear jerker)
