If La Cage aux Folles manages to live to the end of his contract, they should get...
Douglas Sills to replace Gary Beach
Any thoughts on this?
I don't think there will be a need to replace Beach when he wants to leave.

Sills is too young and besides, I highly doubt they'll even have to find one. He'll probably stick it till the end.
And I am sure the end is very near...
At first glance I thought the headline was "Idina for Gary Beach's replacement," and was just about to smash my head into the monitor and end it all.
Gary is wonderful. Stop the insanity.
I didn't say he wasn't good (actually I don't see the show until July 23). I just offered Douglas Sills because his voice is very close to that of Gary.

It is? I had no idea there voices were similar. That sure is news to me.
"Idina for Gary Beach's replacement." Well, let's not dismiss this. It might be very exciting casting!

I would have tried to cast Sills opposite Terrence Mann all along. They have proven chemistry on stage, and would have played off each other wonderfully.
Seriously though, if he wasnt in rehearsals for The Odd Couple, Nathan Lane would be excellent, IMO
Sills was actually considered for the role of Georges originally, along with Kelsey Grammer.

With Beach garnering a Tony nomination for the role, I suppose he will stick it out for the show a long while.
Kelsey Grammar? Thatd be intresting. Maybe cuz im just really used to Frasier but I can just see him going: Go ahead Georges, Im listening.

As Anothapartof me said, Beach is fresh off his Tony nomination so I'm sure he'll want to stick with the show for a little while longer.
