Is it bad if I feel cheap that someone just equated our relationship to the current production of "Sweet Charity"? Enjoyable but wouldn't want to see it more than once?
Anyone ever equate or have someone else equate their life or relationship to a musical?
Um, My friends and I compare ourselves to Rent, nt just the characters, but the "Everyone loved us at the beginning, then we louder and then they hated us, but dang if we aren't still going strong!"

Haha... AMEN!
I totally relate to Bobby in company -though I am a little, well, much younger. Someone also compared our past relationship to "Sweet Charity" how funny!
My musical theatre loving frined always says "My life IS a musical!" so for her Chanukah present I burned her a CD of showtunes that she always says relate to her - I entitled it: Andrea' Life - The Musical! It was fun.
As long as no one makes comparisons to "The Goat, or Who is Sylvia?" you'll be fine.

Calvin, haha! Thank you for bringing a smile to my face!
Cheno, doesn't that comparison just *burn* you up inside?
Nope. but I HAVE often stated that the world would be better of if people occasionally broke out into song and dance.

Darlin, you haven't been hanging out with me, then.
I *DO* break out into song and dance all the time!
I compare my life to YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN featuring me as good ol' Chuck.

LMAO @ Calvin! Good one. I like to think I'm not judgmental but yeah, that's where I draw the line.
My life is a musical, thankfully I think it's still the overture, it would suck if I already made it to curtain call.
The musical would be a flop & a bomb

I'm feeling every fiddler on the roof lately

Oh, so do I! I should have said "more people".

as do i kids...
but actually my brother and i often equate ourselves with wicked... despite what you think about the show, it is easy to relate to!
Life isn't a musical. Life is a cabaret, ol' chum.
OR
Life is what you do till the moment you die.
OR
Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans. (Does that count as a theater quote now?)

Pippin. I've always felt it was a bit of my life on stage. Well...the songs at least. Maybe not the killing-father-who-is-Charlemagne part :)
i hate to admit it, but my life thus far has been very much like Dennis in All Shook Up.

I really felt as though my life was a musical comedy last week when I came home from Europe. ConvinceMe2 had missed me so much that he had the entire Harmonia Gardens set from HELLO, DOLLY! constructed at the luggage carousels at JFK Airport. I knew that I was home at last when all the guys from BWW were at the foot of the staircase to welcome me back to the States.
(CM2 spares no expense to show his love for me!)
Yes, I do. I often find myself rallying knights in a valiant attmept to find the Holy Grail, while battling the french and getting lost in dark and expensive forests...
Actually, I think the easiest show to relate to is Taboo. It's all about wanting to be accepted as an individual and not giving a sh!t what everyone thinks of you if you're happy.
I'm always compare my life to the life the characters lead in RENT. Also i see my self as Charlie brown in no other then, Your A Good Man Charlie Brown.
Yes, and I'm Forbidden to talk about it.
Sucks to be you!

Corine, are you implying that you are surrounded by puppets in real life? Where are you working THIS week?
