I need a song that describes the problems that we have in our world, songs like "Totally F*CKed" and "Ain't Got No" but more musically interesting. Any suggestion would help. Thanks
"Merry Minuet"?

Are you wanting to stay in the Pop/Rock genre? If not, you should look at "Laughing Matters" from When Pigs Fly.
I don't think it's from anything, but it's by Sheldon Harnick. It might have been used in a revue at some point.
oh, yeah -- it's not what I would call pop/rock, unless you consider the Kingston Trio rock.

"Patience" written for the Dreamgirls movie
"I Know Where I've Been" from Hairspray
"Church Rulez" from Altar Boyz (kidding!)

I Would like to find a song that is a little more of a pop/rock song. Lets say from the 70's to the present, uptempo. Thanks.
"A New World" from Songs for a New World
"Hot Enough For You?" from The Act.
"What You Own" from Rent
And to a lesser extent, "At the End of the Day" from Les Mis and "Razzle Dazzle" and "Class" from Chicago.
You've Got To Be Carefully Taught from South Pacific
Maman from Mata Hari
There's a song called "The World's Just Coming To A Start" but I can't for the life of me find out what show it's from.

Kander and Ebbs "Coffee in a Cardboard Cup" comes to mind.
Any more? This has helped so much, thanks.
"Imagine" by John Lennon, came to mind.
