I'm sure they are. I was just like WAIT these aren't Weissler hired actors.
If the Weisslers hired them, the cast would consist of some variation of the following people:
Bianca Marroquin
Brenda Braxton
Terra McCleod
Michelle DeJean
Carole Woods
Roz Ryan
Tom Wopat
Tracy Shayne
Did I miss anyone?
Charlotte d'Amboise. I'm sure she will be back in her Chicago routine soon.
According to Broadway.com's Q&A interview with Tom Wopat, he will be on tour again:
"How many times have you done Chicago?
On Broadway, I've been in at least four or five different times. I've done it multiple times on the road as well, the first time for 16 weeks. I have a couple of isolated weeks coming up again [on tour] in November and December and then a couple of weeks over the new year."

I'm guessing the Non-Eq tour is closing then because Tom can't go on that tour. The only way is if he was Core. For info on core click the THEATRE tab on Kathy Halenda's site.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure the Weissler's are bringing back their tour. This show can't be stopped
Then why did they have that year of Non-eq?
I don't know. That tour wasn't done by the Weisslers.
Then why did they have that year of Non-eq?
The current Troika tour (which is a re-creation of the Weissler revival) is playing smaller venues. A few years ago, when the first Non-Equity revival tour went out (with Heather Parcells as Velma), it played simultaneously with the second Equity tour, only on different coasts/markets.
There will indeed be another Equity tour come mid-fall, featuring the aforementioned Wopat and many other familiar faces.

I haven't found a tour route. I know it's coming to my town and I already have tickets. But where else is it coming to.
I try to catch the tour every time it's in town. If their next Seattle stop is equity, I'm there!

just because a tour is non-equity doesn't meen it's bad. I LOVE the non-eq hairspray tour. I've seen some non-eq rent tours that are awesome too.
And we have the cast for our Equity tour - Tom Wopat, Bianca Marroquin, Terra MacLeod, Roz Ryan.

It is an added attraction for our 2009 season. It will only be here in Denver for 6 days. Feb. 3rd thru the 8th.
The Weissler's really need some new people. I feel like this is the exact same cast listing as when the equity tour last came through Seattle (though who knows if this tour is coming to Seattle again).
I'll still probably try to catch it if it does come through, though, as it is one of my favorite musicals.
Wow...what thrilling, interesting, names!!! (not)
Seriously, what a dull, uninteresting list of performers. They're all quite talented, but enough with this already.
Because the market is craving another Equity tour of Chicago...
Love the show, but really.
That said, of the dozens of times I've seen the show, Terra MacLeod has never given any less than 110% as Velma. I'd welcome her back anytime.

I have seen the non-eq tour from this year a few times and have really been happy with the cast. At least 10 of them will continue on to the equity tour. The current Roxie (Lindsay Roginski) and Velma (Melanie Waldron) will become cell block girls, the current Billy (Brent Heuser) will become Fred Casley, and Amos (Ben Elledge) will be going on as Amos for parts of the tour.
What about Kelli? She was amazing & gets nothing. Congrats to the rest though!! Hopefully Lindsey will get her dream of playing Roxie on Broadway.
