The reality that you would never lose a job for a full throated defense of Israel in this "Conflict" tells you all you need to know honestly.

Actually, in this instance, no, you cannot be fired for airing a difference of opinion without it costing a great deal of money. Union employees are not at-will employees, they are on contracts and those contracts govern how they can be terminated and how they can be disciplined and for what reasons.

We do not know the terms of Segers' departure from Hadestown. His contract was likely bought out or ended on some kind of negotiated terms as he did not do anything to merit termination for cause. And that is very different from what Trimm is alleging here.

I stand firmly against antisemitism, and no one should live in fear because of their identity. The violence and harassment targeting Jewish people globally is completely unacceptable.

However, just as Jewish fear is valid, Palestinian fear is equally valid. Palestinians are facing military violence, displacement, and extreme suffering every single day. Why is one group's fear recognized as legitimate while the other's is dismissed?

Israel demolished entire cities full of families. “Settlers” have murdered whole families on video. Israeli snipers have been documented shooting little boys in the genitals to prevent them from having children. Israel has purposely targeted medics personnel and nonprofits (World Kitchen) trying to feed people. It's a genocide and only the truly ignorant and stupid fail to understand that fact. LFG, Allie Trimm. She is taking a huge professional risk by speaking out against one of the most powerful producers on Broadway. But she's doing it for what she believes is right. I'm with Allie and I'm grateful that some people in positions of power and with microphones (actors, musicians) are speaking out.

Is he intimidating them because he doesn’t want a scandal from one of the wicked leads at risk of putting the show in peril? I think it’s more of a business move than a personal thing. Look at what’s happened with Ed Sheeran’s tour. Perfect case in point.
