Yes, as your own post says its a recent uptick due to the ugly choice between the current candidates. A month doesnt erase the last 7 years he has been under 50% and much less if separate his amazing Black support and you look at Hispanic and White voters.....................
As America faces the seemingly unpopular choice of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama is looking better than he has since the start of his presidency, according to a new McClatchy-Marist Pol
There are warning signs that the country could want a change in direction. Americans who are worried about the economy, political gridlock and terrorism think the country is going in the wrong by a rate of 70 to 25.
Before this year, the last time more than half of the electorate gave Obama gave him such high marks was in 2009, after he was first elected to the White House on a message of hope and change.
Obama’s approval rating slumped to 40 percent before the 2014 midterm elections, when candidates did not want to appear on the campaign trail with him, but his numbers have improved since caucuses and primaries for the 2016 presidential race got under way at the beginning of this year.
Does Trump have any major newspaper endorsements yet?
Yes, one: The Santa Barbara News-Press.
Interesting article on why newspaper endorsements might be surprisingly significant this year:

Chicago Tribune endorses Johnson. Horrible newspaper and quite shameful.

"And what's Aleppo?"
Johnson isn't ready for prime time, nor is Jill Stein. Nor is is freaking Donald Trump.
Speaking of, I made a little parody video in his honor: http://youtu.be/SMDR4Lu1S8A
I think most of you will share the sentiment.

Hey Jerby, saw your video on Supportivemom's Facebook page. Great job!
Looks like Clinton is getting a bounce from the debate. The 538 numbers will get even better if good results continue to come in.which could happen with Trump continuing to behave erratically (even for him).

And another conservative paper endorses Clinton. The San Diego Union-Tribune hadn't endorsed a Democrat in its 148 year history!

Can't wait to hear evangelicals justify voting for Trump after they've learned he appeared in a soft-core porn video.

Reflecting upon Trump’s actions, Matt Borges, the Republican Party chairman in battleground Ohio, said, “Can this thing just end — please?”
“My God,” he sighed, “what a nightmare.”

Both DJT and a superPAC supporting him are running ads here. The DJT ad is a weak effort where the narrator spends the latter half of it speaking a series of platitudes, like bullet points disconnected from each other. Something like "Create jobs. Fight crime. Move forward." The attack ad is so over the top, comparing HRC to Nixon and ending with Nixon's statement about the public being entitled to know if their president is a crook. I'm sure it plays well to his base but with all the news about DJT's shady dealings this week, it just as likely reminds everyone else who the real crook here is.
eta: Just saw another DJT ad, featuring Ivanka and talking about his plans to "help working mothers." This is a Missouri station.
CNN senior producer Teddy Davis falsely tweets that Hillary called Bernie supporters "deluded":
https://twitter.com/TeddyDavisCNN/status/782062464087257088
And that she called Bernie supporters "baristas" and considered herself "center-right."
https://twitter.com/TeddyDavisCNN/status/782063532229689344
Anyone who's listened to the audio or read the transcript knows the above is very misleading! If anything, she was sympathetic toward the so-called Berniebros, and she said she spans between the center left, to the center right.
God, the media is deplorable!
To be clear, she did have a moment or two in that speech where she came off a touch condescending.
But you're right, overall she was sympathetic and I like that she said this:
"They’re children of the Great Recession. And they are living in their parents’ basement," she said. "They feel they got their education and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves. And they don’t see much of a future."
Clinton said the idea of a "political revolution is pretty appealing," if you feel you're on a path to low-wage jobs with little opportunity for advancement.
"I think we all should be really understanding of that," Clinton said.
Well, she wasn't half as condescending as I've been to Berners.
This Trump parody by RANDY RAINBOW is absolutely EFFING brilliant! HE needs a "talent agent" to get his name out; Randy is the best.

Supercalifragilistic....never sounded better...
Clinton raised $154 million in September.

I look forward to those with the meat to change minds. The tax thing is fun but a surprise to exactly no one. Trump supporters have already bought into the "paying no taxes is good business" narrative. We need a surprise with the weight to sway the undecideds in swing states away from the dark side. Maybe a sex tape with a French Poodle because everyone is always mad at the French.
The Miss Universe thing, which should of had a life of about 3 minutes during the debate, has certainly had legs thanks to Donald's inability to leave it alone. The guy continues to be his own worst enemy. How can he possibly believe that attacking a Latina Miss Universe for her weight is going to endear him with the illusive suburban mom and Hispanic coalitions? What a buffoon.

Yeah but that's setting the bar pretty low.
Alec Baldwin was great at Trump on SNL last night. That might be the October surprise.
Welcome, October Surprise!
Is it really a surprise, though? They way it's been hinted at with information coming out in dribs and drabs, I wonder if they impact of this revelation has been dulled.
Something that crossed my mind this week.....With all of this shaming Trump has been doing via twitter, why have they not closed his account? Yeah, I know he is running for president but it seems I have heard of them shutting people's accounts down for tweeting nasty things about other people. But I guess twitter is loving every minute of it. Just a thought.
Alex Seitz-Wald has been a really credible source in keeping abreast of these "leaks".
It's about time the Dems are hitting back! I do think this is the beginning of the real implosion...the taxes thing has been rumbling...but I feel this is the start of ...tick-tick-BOOM...

It really takes a lot to get banned from Twitter. It took Milo Yiannopolous literally directing thousands of people to bombard Leslie Jones with hateful garbage to get him banned.
