From what I understand, it seems unlikely any definitive conclusions will be able to be reached by the FBI until after the election. To announce this and then leave it dangling is massively irresponsible.

Well, well, well...so Melania Trump is giving a speech on Thursday in suburban Philadelphia at a rally. Let's cajole and pander to all the "Lay-dies".  First Lady Michelle should make sure her speeches are all copyrighted.

Btw, the first case of voter fraud was just reported in PA yesterday, when a woman was caught voting for Trump twice; "I did it because the election is rigged" was her excuse.

This is going to be a crazy week!

But is it? If there's anything that Brexit has proven, it's that polls can be amazingly inaccurate forecasts. FiveThirtyEight is more accurate overall, but in the end it comes down to participation. Get out and vote. Vote blue all the way down.

In terms of voter fraud, the Trump backers need to be watched closely because they're the ones who want to rig the election the most, given their violent pro-NRA pro-KKK pro-militia leanings that just HAPPEN to be officially endorsed by the national Police Union. The media need to get out to those polls with their cameras and get Trump backers in action; everyone who actually supports democracy, even with flaws in the American system, should keep their eyes and cameras open.

There will be riots.

I'm just shaking my head at the fact that Republicans are generally less educated, more religious, far more likely to believe conspiracy theories than actual facts (because facts imply objectivity imply scientific methods), claim to be extremely patriotic yet apparently Trump supporters hate democracy and support a man who admires Hitler and Putin and would like to design himself into a dictator. What the fudge.

The national polls are meaningless at this point. Only the state-by-state polls count.

 

Brexit is meaningless too--that was a national referndum. Our system is an Electoral College, won state-by state.

In my communications with you and other top officials in the national security community, it has become clear that you possess explosive information about close ties and coordination between Donald Trump, his top advisors, and the Russian government – a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Trump praises at every opportunity. The public has a right to know this information. I wrote to you months ago calling for this information to be released to the public. There is no danger to American interests from releasing it. And yet, you continue to resist calls to inform the public of this critical information.

By contrast, as soon as you came into possession of the slightest innuendo related to Secretary Clinton, you rushed to publicize it in the most negative light possible.

Moreover, in tarring Secretary Clinton with thin innuendo, you overruled longstanding tradition and the explicit guidance of your own Department. You rushed to take this step eleven days before a presidential election, despite the fact that for all you know, the information you possess could be entirely duplicative of the information you already examined which exonerated Secretary Clinton.

As you know, a memo authored by Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates on March 10, 2016, makes clear that all Justice Department employees, including you, are subject to the Hatch Act. The memo defines the political activity prohibited under the Hatch Act as “activity directed towards the success or failure of a political party, candidate for partisan political office, or partisan political group.”

The clear double-standard established by your actions strongly suggests that your highly selective approach to publicizing information, along with your timing, was intended for the success or failure of a partisan candidate or political group.

Please keep in mind that I have been a supporter of yours in the past. When Republicans filibustered your nomination and delayed your confirmation longer than any previous nominee to your position, I led the fight to get you confirmed4 because I believed you to be a principled public servant.

With the deepest regret, I now see that I was wrong.

I agree with Harry on this issue. Comey's partisanship is blatant and dangerous!  I am still shocked!

Sue Storm, do you have a reading comprehension problem? From the article you posted "CNN never gave Brazile access to any questions, prep material, attendee list, background information or meetings in advance of a town hall or debate." So what were the questions she supplied Hillary again?
