I second that motion etoile... It has been rather scary lately. Some posters do not seem to know what kind of position they are putting themselves in. Especially a few of the underage posters.
i can understand what you mean, but are you refering to something specific i dont know about?
Well there is a certain poster I have in mind, but I don't think it's my place to out them. Maybe I'll just tell them to be more careful via PM.

I was just teasing... you're cool in my book.

well i am a younger poster(though not in your category) but i do agree with you and i try to be cautious.
and thank you for caring

Thank You! I tried it again while holding Ctrl, and it worked! Yay, now I'll definitely be at the party!
I appreciate the concern that is being expressed for us young, impressionable children. But it's not like we're posting our home addresses and phone numbers everywhere for all to see. Nobody on here even knows my last name. I'm not here to find pen pals and invite strangers to my house. I'm here to discuss a topic that means a lot to me, and if I happen to make a friend, well, good for me. And yes, I know I make some pretty interesting comments here on the OT board. Yes, I have mentioned a couple things maybe not suitable for people my age, and if it's preferred, I won't say those things anymore. But despite my mature tongue I'm not stupid enough to do anything of that caliber.
I'm sorry if I sound bitter, but I'm just trying to reiterate the fact that (I don't know about the other young posters here) I'm not here to screw around. However, I am very very grateful to those who are looking out for my safety and the safety of all on the board, especially us young ones. Thank you for your care and concern.
..and sadly, I have nothing on-topic to add.
on1ystarinthesky- I agree with you completely. It's very nice of the older members to be concerned. But I'm here to talk about Broadway (and some other things on the off-topic board)but that's it.
I agree with both of you. We "young, impressionable children" have to stick together! Um, on topic...GO BROADWAY!!!

Speaking as a man of a certain age, only1star, one of your posts in the past couple of days was one of the few that has ever made me cringe... and it was when you were talking about needing a drink. Coupled with your youthful icon at the time, I have to say for a moment I asked myself what the hell I am doing having this conversation with this collection of people?
To be specific.

Well, I apologize for making you upset, Namo. (honestly no sarcasm in that statement)
I understand that sometimes it's hard to pick up when somebody is joking around when you're speaking to them through text. Of course I was not being serious when I said that, nor anything else I said on that thread.
Apparently it's upsetting some people, and I will keep my youthful nose out of business it does not belong in.
Who's gonna put on their prom dress for this one? (You know who you are!)
ME!!!
If I had a prom dress, you bet I'd be in it for the Tony's.
Sadly, I'll have to wait for the 2008 Tony's. But I have a lovely dress from my middle school formal that I could use...it's good enough, right?
nystateofmind, you look like someone in that picture but I can't figure out who....
i took it with my pic phone and sent it to my computor because for some reason broadwayworld.com wont accept the pic of me that i scanned. o well...
