So are they waiting until the final show of the season to make Farrah official?

Yes, Hasslebeck is only there Wednesday. Friday's show will be taped Thursday afternoon.
David10086 said: "They're supposed to be announcing AFG as permanent host this coming week."
Ana is there tomorrow, so maybe they announce her on Tuesday's show?

It's their final week of the season. The cohosts are ready for their summer break. Alyssa wasn't on yesterday, so it wasn't happening then.

So Ana did interview to take Meghan's spot fulltime and was turned down. There's some reports saying Ana won't return at all for season 26.
Alyssa Farrah is official. Also, both Sunny and Ana have signed multi-year contract extensions.
Navarro, Farrah are the new cohosts at The View
This article does state that Ana will be full-time which leads to the speculation of them having the 6 cohosts rotating for season 26.
Not true. Word is Ana will do 3 shows a week beginning next season. So probably Monday/Thursday/Friday. Alyssa likely does 4 shows/week. Whoopi takes off Fridays. Joy probably takes off one day a week. The 6 co-hosts gives them some flexibility for season 26.
Season 26 kicks off Tuesday September 6 ( some reporters had the date as September 12). The new additions should be taking their seats. There’s so much to cover over the past four weeks, especially Trump, Biden and notable deaths while they were gone. Former cohost Sherry Shepherd starts her new show September 12.
Not sure why news outlets got the start day wrong when the show said during the season 25 finale that they would start September 6.
I'm just curious how the 6 cohosts will rotate. It's assumed Ana will still only do Mondays and Fridays. Whoopi will continue to be off Fridays and supposedly Joy will be off on Mondays. Ana will only do more shows if any of the other 5 have scheduled absences.
It was a good first episode of the season. We got the recap of each cohost's hiatus. They covered the sh!tstorm that went on during their hiatus as much as they could. Definitely felt refreshed. The end of each season always feels tired. I've wonder if they should schedule a 3 week hiatus in the beginning of summer, then return for 4-5 weeks to close the season.
Today's show confirmed that Joy will be off on Mondays.
I enjoyed yesterday's show. No Joy, so the conversation was enjoyable without her trying to interrupt everyone.
The first week was rough, but everyone has settled in and the show has been fine. Whoopi seems to be really enjoying herself. Sunny has been difficult and needs to get off of her soap box. I expected Alyssa to be boring. But anyone is better than McCain.
