Lol. A friend joked that he wanted the house to be the hellmouth and have Sarah Michele Gellar guest star.
It’s been a week since the shocking finale of FX’s American Horror Story, which found the entire Harmon family dead but happily haunting their home. Co-creator Ryan Murphy told the media last week that season 2 would be a complete reboot of the show with a new location and new cast. He also teased that the secret to next season could be found in AHS’ final three episodes. Well, AHS fans, EW is gonna narrow it down even further for you: the secret to season 2 can be found in….SPOILER ALERT…”Birth,” the penultimate episode of the season and the one in which Vivien went into labor. Says Murphy, “Go through it frame by frame. I planted it in there. I will never reveal it.”

Some poster found a Massachusetts license plate...Salem/witches for Season 2?
I think setting season 2 in Salem would be a great choice. It's hard to imagine them starting completely fresh and still managing to be as successful as the first season, but I think bringing in the witch trials of Salem is a great jumping off point for a fantastic second season.
This news kind of thrills me. I’ll take Lange in any capacity possible! Even though Broadwayworld has an article up about it, I'm linking one from another site. This one mentions Ryan Murphy trying to bring back four of the actors from the first season. I'm really curious who the other three are though.
Here's to a great Season 2...
I sort of like the idea of having a completely new story and new cast for each season. Sort of like stretching a single episode of Twilight Zone across one season. A great idea to keeping the series fresh without resorting to shark-jumping. It'll be interesting to see how this strategy pans out.
I hope it follows a haunting in Liza's house.

There was a possessed bedwarmer at The House of Seven Gables that made a pass at Samantha Stephens back in the '70s and now there's a Samantha statue in Salem. Maybe THAT is possessed by the ghost of an angry Pandora Spocks?
So if the key to season 2 apparenbtly is in a brief moment of the penultimate episode--and they say it will be at an institution, does this mean the weird flashes of a padded mental ward for the father is tyhe new setting?
I do think it's smart to have a new anthology feel each year (i even find the idea of using some of the same actors in new different roles as intriguing though audiences could take poorly to it) particularly since Muprhya nd crew are pretty infamous at sucking the longer they go on with the same characters and actors, and really there isn't much else you can do with the horror themes of this past year.
We have to wait until the fall? AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH
That's always how cable tv shows work... (Unless you're waiting what feels like two years for more Mad Men...)
Isn't Mad Men starting back next month? GAH!!!!! /threadjack
I gotta tell you, I really love this idea of her playing a totally different character and the possibility of last seasons actors doing the same thing. I think for a show like this it could work brilliantly. I'm F'in stoked for this!!!

Can't wait for the new ride!
Thanks for the link, Jordan.
Ryan Murphy finally revealed the other three actors coming back next season. I wish we didn't have to wait so long for Season 2 to begin.
The Same Face, Different Name Trope
Ii'm sure some will be happy to maybe see Adam Levine naked, but ugh I'm so sick of him constantly being eveerywhere http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/03/20/american-horror-story-adam-levine/
Oh hell yeah. I'll take Adam Levine any way I can get him.
*Shakes Head*. He doesn't seem as awful as some, but I just don't get the love (i particularly find it funny how so many people I know suddenly love him for his comments about embracing his gay brother, bla bla--I mean that's good, and you should openly love your family regardless of their sexulity, but hardly makes you a gay martyr in my books). But hey, maybe he'll be great.

I have plans this evening but I have already set my DVR to record it. Can't wait to see what Jessica Lange does with this new creepy character and Joseph Fiennes too.
Speaking of the DVR, if you had a season pass last season, it may not carry over to this season since the title changed. Double check!
Sooo excited! The Times gave it an odd review today, very mediocre, at least for the first two episodes. They did say Lange is just as delicious as a nun as she was the grandma of satan last year.
I can't wait. I purposely didn't read the Times review; I'll catch up tomorrow.
I saw a clip of Lange just walking down a hallway in her nun's drag and my heart skipped a beat.
