Everyone who's a fan of horror that I know was bothered by that shot.

And I'm fine with an homage, film is full of those. But this is just blatantly ripping off things.

And there was nothing disturbing at the Bomer scene except that we didn't see his ass. That disturbed me.

So, he was stabbed and dismembered? Technically, someone has been dismembered in every season, and the stabbing was Dandy copying Twisty. It wasn't disturbing; it was repeating "disturbing" things, really.

I did love Dandy's, "Why aren't you dead yet? You're making me feel bad!"

Everyone who's a fan of horror that I know was bothered by that shot.

I'm the biggest horror fan I know, and I didn't give a shït. Why would it bother you? The shot lasted three seconds, and it was obviously quoting Halloween.

I think it's also time to admit that Precious was a fluke and that Gabourey Sidibe is pretty terrible actress.

I came to this revelation last season. It's almost like the actress who played Precious was a completely different person.

Yeah, I think I've always kind of known it, too, but last night she just seemed even worse than ever, and in such a short scene. At first I thought she was supposed to sound that flat and phony, like she had rehearsed what she was going to say because she already knew something was up, but... wow.

Agreed about Sidibe. It almost seemed like she and Conroy were in two different universes. Granted, Conroy is (terrifically) affecting that odd personality and voice, but Sidibe seemed so modern in comparison. It felt really distracting.

To be fair, Conroy and Wittrock are in a different universe than everyone else in this show. Sidibe's character's disturbed reaction to Conroy is probably the only logical behavior from anyone ever on AHS.

But, yeah, Sidibe was very flat. And that wig!

True, Conroy and Wittrock are very much out there, but everyone else at least is working within this vaguely melodramatic style. But yeah, not totally a fair comparison.

Still, I'm really loving this season- certainly up there with the best of Asylum. Though I'm getting tired of Lange, fabulous as she is, playing the same role over and over. I hope something interesting happens to her character this season.

If watching the show every week pisses you off, why bother sitting through it? There are plenty of other things one can fill their time with rather than hate watching a show you have strongly disliked from the beginning. Go to bed.

And I agree about Lange. Always fantastic, but I am ready for something crazy to go down with her.

I hope Wittrock scores an Emmy nomination.

Is anyone else confused on all the seasons connecting? I get that Season 2 and 4 have direct connections, but that's really it (except for a few last name similarities).

I think it would have been very interesting to have Maggie Esmerelda (the fortune teller, Emma Roberts) connect directly to Coven by having her actually be a young, growing witch with the powers of divination (and who knows? Maybe she get's that last name Montgomery through marriage and turns out to be Madison's grandmother).

Wasn't Lily Rabe a Montgomery in Season 1? That could be one of the connections between 1 and 3. Also, they are just making that sh*t up as they go along.
