Brilliant performance by Elliott. Wow.

Paris was pretty good there, but what the hell was she wearing?

Katharine really shot herself in the foot with that song choice/performance. Bizarre.

kathArine did great on the second song! i was a bit worried, since it wasnt as 'rocky' as the original version, but i hope she stays around another week and redeems herself.
chris comment on being tired the second song made me question his endurance if he does concerts. perhaps it showed him that yelling is not that great.
why is kelli pickler the main picture on the Drowsy Arrivals thumbnail on front page?!

Luscious,
I think Katharine did MUCH better than a 7 the second time around. And I don't think Chris deserved an 8 that time. I respectfully disagree with you there.

Elliott did pretty well tonight. His first song was arranged a little different....but I thought he did well. His second song seemed like it wasn't quite in his range...but again I thought he did well. I thought Taylor did well on his second song. Chris was great on his Styx song. I loved it. Hopefully, Elliott has another week so he can make up for his not perfect performance this week. Ok...back to voting for Elliott!

SORRY ITS SO BIG! i try putting in the link so it doesnt ruin the page margin and i still get this. anyone konw how to fix it?
I think the main thing tonight was that no one really stood out. Kat and Chris had two very good performances, but they were paired with two performances that were so-so at best. Elliot and Paris had two solid performances and Taylor had one goofy performance and one ho-hum performance.
I thought Elliot was good, not great, not terrible, but good. He's sort of an enigma because he is the best male singer left, but he has the least charisma. I like the fact that he's not as goofy as Taylor and not as "TV" friendly as Chris, but I don't know about the rest of America.
Paris was, well, Paris. Yeah, she's got a great voice, but again this week, I was just kind of middle of the road on her. She's got the voice, but there's just something about her that keeps her from clicking.
I thought Chris did very good on the first song, but I thought the second song was very problematic and I actually thought it was probably the worst or second worst performance of the night. I also thought it funny that he told Ryan this is the most he's ever sung, but isn't he in a rock band that plays shows all the time? SHouldn't he be able to handle singing for less than five minutes a week on TV?
I didn't think Kat's first song was all that great, but I really, really liked her second song. I liked the fact that it was a different kind of song and I thought it really suited her voice well.
Taylor was, like Simon always says, a guy I'd see singing at a wedding. He's got a good voice, but I just feel like the last week or two he's turned up the "remember how goofy I was at the beginning and everyone loved me" vibe and it doesn't seem as natural.
Top to bottom I'd rank them this way:
Chris
Kat
Elliot
Paris
Taylor
^^WHOAH!!! I thought Taylor did WAY better than Chris. All Chris was doing was yelling!! It even showed in his second song since he almost lost his voice. That shows that he's not using his diaphram <<----(Is that how you spell it?) and that he's just using his throaht. But I thought all in all, Elliot did the best tonight. Here's my list:
Top to bottom:
Elliot
Katherine
Taylor
Paris
Chris

Elliott's Home was absolutely beautiful. I can't believe some of the things his voice did in that, ahhh!
My DVR f%&cked me over tonight, so I've been digging around online to find the performances. Seen E and Taylor's, complete with judges comments. Seen Chris and Katharine's, minus judge's comments. Still looking for Paris. Dialidol has Paris pegged to go, but I'd be more than happy to let Kat leave after tonight's performances.
I think Kat's second song saved her, although my wife said she was having an awfully easy time voting for her last night. To me that second song was as unique and interesting as I've seen Idol this year.
And after hearing the modern rock station play their Idol recap this morning and then they played the original version of "I Dare You," I'm way more down on Chris than I was last night.
I'll amend my top five:
Kat
Elliot
Paris
Chris
Taylor
I still LOVE KAT..her 1st song choice wasn't a good one, but LOVED the 2nd...she was so playful with it and showed another side to her. As usual she got my votes.
Which means you got through easily in order to vote for her?
