Not 10 minutes ago I said to my mother "Paris and Elliot will be in the bottom 2, and Paris will go home."

After last night, Paris deserved to go. She'll do just fine, anyway.

Chris and Katherine will be in the final two. Chris SHOULD win. Katherine just might pull it off. And if she does, my faith in the voting public will continue to be non-existent.

Elliot will be going home next week.

I'm so done with chris, he has not done anyhting variation, at all, in any song he's sung, it's all been the same.

Everyone else has had at least some variation (taylor the least of the other three cause every performance is sort of over the top)

Chris has got an incredible voice. He's an exciting, intense, and powerful performer. And damn sexy to boot! In my opinion, he's leagues above the others and deserves to win hands down.

Luscious, I agree w/ you that the final two will probably come down to Chris and Kathrine, but I think between them Kathrine will win. Chris has improved a lot and I give him credit for that. But, I still think Kathrine is a better, more versatile singer.

I used to really like Chris.

But now it is very obvious the man has no idea about proper singing technique. EVERYTHING he sings it from his throat. That is a major no-no as a singer, I'm sure we all know that. He is killing his voice. If he learned proper technique he would be quite good.

I'm serious...if it comes down to a Chris and Kat final I will be so annoyed. I can not deal with three more weeks of Kat. Elliott should out last her. Hopefully Paris fans will start voting for Elliott. He is going to need those votes. If Elliott can't win...then I for sure want Chris to win. His Renegade was amazing. Who cares if he doesn't have the proper singing technique? I wasn't aware they had to be trained singers.

Out of the four remaining, who would you pay to see in concert? The only answer for me is Chris. I wouldn't go to see Elliot, Taylor, or Katherine if they were giving away tickets for free.

Oh yeah! Who cares if he doesn't sing from his diaphragm?

I'm sure he doesn't care his voice will be SHOT in a few years. After doing all that screaming from his throat, etc.

You DON'T have to be a trained singer to know you have to sing from your diaphragm. That is a big misconception.

And if you notice, Chris does not have a vibrato - he has a quiver. All the result of singing from your throat.

I do like the guy. He would be 10x better if he stopped singing so throaty. I also think he's an attractive guy.

That is true about Chris' singing. I know that's how I used to think vibrato was formed until...I was singing along to Annie Get Your Gun and the real thing came out. I really need lessons.
But, sorry to divert from the topic.
Hopefully there won't be such a drastic change in Chris' voice years from now. Listen to Aerosmith's "Dream On" and then listen to "Jaded". Steven Tyler's original sound has pretty much disappeared. (Even though I still think he sounds amazing.)

Honestly, if I were going to buy a CD of any of the final four, I'd be Kat or Elliot.

I think Chris would put out a CD that I'd get to the end of and then say, wow, all those songs sounded the same. And I have paid good money to see Chris: well, actually, several bands here in town that have lead singers just as good as Chris. He's good, but there are much better in the genre he sings.

At least Kat and Elliot try and stretch themselves and do some different things, but they also know what they do well. To me, I'd much rather see one of those two win than a guy who sings every song the same way and another one who acts like a drunken wedding singer most of the time, although he is a hoot to watch sometimes.

OT, but Steven Tyler has publically said that he purposely made his voice sound like what he thought the record company wanted on their debut album. That's why Dream On sounds so odd.

Anywho, Elliott fulfilled every last one of my clothing fetishes for men tonight in the results and the pimpmercial, and I couldn't be more flushed. And that re-sing of On Broadway...scrape me off the floor, for that was the hottest f&ck you I've ever heard in my life. Good lord.

And I'm pretty sure most of Paris's voters will switch over to Elliott. Maybe some to Kat.

I think overall Elliott probably has the best voice, but unfortunately he's probably getting the boot next week. There's just something I don't like about Katherine, she just completely annoys me. With Chris starting to lose his voice a bit, I'm beginning to think that Taylor may end up winning.

Theres no question to me that Taylor is getting the YEE-HAW votes now that Bucky and Kellie are gone, and the final two will be him and Chris. I can't imagine a more annoying perfomer than Taylor and his first song last night made me want to hurl. Elliott has a good voice but very little charisma while I think if Katherine picks the right song, she could soar. So far, shes come close, but thats it. Chris seems the best of the bunch to me, but that doesnt mean Id rush out to buy his record or see him in concert. In other words, this is a lackluster group IMO.

Honestly, besides maybe Kat, I don't really see anyone in this group having any kind of long run in music as any kind of chart topper. They're really all guys that could do well for a while. I think Chris definitely has a niche that he could fill for a while, Taylor would be damn near close to a novelty act, and Elliot has the voice but just lacks the charisma to be a big star.

Do I see the next Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood as far as post Idol success? Not really.

I don't care if Elliott becomes a big star. I want lots of CDs, no matter how small the label, and intimate jazz club like concerts. I just want to hear this man sing.

I agree, cabaret. I think Elliott could have a very solid career putting out jazz-like CDs. He definitely has the voice to do it. Like I said, I think him and Kat are the only two built for any kind of longivity in the music industry on some level or another.
