Watching this unfold on CNN, man this is serious.
Are any of the protesters armed? Would be a great idea to take down social media for the duration.
The police should’ve been prepared for this. Today was always going to be a flashpoint. A lot of police and army are Republican Trump supporters, so wondering actually how hard the police are trying to enforce the law?.

Where are the police forces that protected Trump making that speech at St John’s Episcopal Church on Lafayette Square?

Of course the coward currently occupying the White House is nowhere to be seen and heard - except on Twitter of course.

Apparently, members of the House and Senate want to finish (or at least return to) the certification process tonight. Good for them. We shall see.

Trump should be impeached and removed from office the moment those electoral votes are done being counted. All of his enablers in Congress should be expelled. Biden's administration and the new Democratic majority in Congress need to take swift action to ensure that those who enabled this attack on our democracy face the consequences.
He shouldn't be allowed to be President for another day, let alone two weeks.

They’re going to finish the count at 8pm Eastern.
Ilhan Omar said she drew up articles of impeachment. If the GOP doesn’t tear Trump to pieces after today, he’s going to spend the rest of his life in a jail cell.

Trump is such a narcissist he would see America burn in a civil war, if it meant he was going to get a second term.

I don't think you are an American because I don't really think you understand what happened here today. It was horrifying and infuriating on EVERY level. This is domestic terrorism by white people who don't understand if they were people of color they would have been assassinated. This is NOT NORMAL.
