Goonies
WIlly Wonka and the CHocolate Factory
If any of the above films are playing on cable at any given time. Everything stops and I have to recite them line for line. This of course upsets anyone that I am in the room with.
All About Eve? What's "guilty" about that? Maybe you're in a roomful of classic film haters.
EDIT: To me, a "guilty" choice is a movie most people would tell you sucks or isn't worth the trouble, yet you love it anyway.

^Exactly. Or A room full of people who don't appreciate its camp value at least.
Xanadu-This one intrigues me so much by the horrible story telling and so many other things that make you go WTF?. But, it's hilarious and strangely enjoyable for those reasons.

Sorry, I'm not understanding. What's the guilty pleasure in JAWS and CLOSE ENCOUNTERS?
I legitimately love Legally Blonde.
I love it so much that I hate the musical for bastardizing it.

Oh, I mentioned in my first post that Jaws is not a guilty pleasure, but a fine film.
There are some Academy Award winners that are indeed junk food type of films, I'm thinking Ben-Hur with the spotted Gore Vidal penned gay subtext, but All About Eve ain't it. I watched that film recently and it is still pleasurable, but not in a guilty way at all.

Sorry Jane2 - I misunderstood...I too do watch Jaws every time it is on. I think the guilty part could be that there are SO many movies and so little time - I should be watching something new.
Baby Boom
Outrageous Fortune
I dont know why Midler and Long never teamed up again.
"There's a kidney in Kansas City that's not gettin' any freshah!"
Clueless
Mean Girls
Bring It On
Easy A
Jurassic Park
Logan's Run
Flash Gordon
Forget Paris
Moulin Rouge
Poltergeist
The Day After Tomorrow
2012
The Poseidon Adventure
Absolutely agree with Grease 2, and will add these:
Annie,
Clue,
anything with zombies, especially Dawn of the Dead,
and anything with Muppetts, except the one "from space"
I think I need to ask - What exactly constitutes a "guilty pleasure"?
Because I wouldn't classify
CLUELESS
MEAN GIRLS
JURASSIC PARK
FORET PARIS
MOULIN ROUGE
POLTERGEIST
BABY BOOM
OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE
MR. HOLLAND'S OPUS (one of my all-time favorite films)
ROMY AND MICHELE'S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION
THE GOONIES
MURIEL'S WEDDING
WILLY WONKA (The original, I'm assuming)
BRING IT ON
as "guilty pleasures". They're just good movies.
So much fun!

Flash Gordon

Hook
Wow, I can't even think!
@ Jordan- we've gotten away from "guilty pleasure" as it is traditionally known.
Most people are listing movies they love to watch over and over- some are of dubious merit others are considered classics.
"Ernest Goes to Jail."
iDie.

Brian, I was replying to Roscoe's comment so no apologies necessary! And I think it's fine to keep watching Jaws since it's a lot better than most of the new stuff, lol!

Jane2 - I am trying to watch the classics so I've been mixing them into my queue in Netflix: All About Eve, Sunset Blvd, Cleopatra, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, etc
Since there are SO many truely classic B&W movies that is where the guilt part comes into play when I am rewatching Jaws for the millionth time. hahaha
I feel guilty that my guilty pleasures aren't popular enough.
The Lord of the Rings!
Star Wars!
Lawrence of Arabia!
The Wizard of Oz!
The Sound of Music!
Raiders of the Lost Ark!
There, I feel better now.
The problem is, I don't feel guilty about any films I enjoy watching and most mainstream films get flack for being mainstream, so I don't know what to include on my list other than mainstream films I never tire of watching.
