Perhaps you would like to consider joining us for Thanksgiving dinner?
I can seat up to 3 more people.
If so, drop me a PM.

I was almost in a predicament to take you up on your offer, Jose. My cousin Karen is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for the family at her home in Philadelphia. I'm not invited because she found out that I'm a Liberal Democrat and "all Democrats are for abortion". She also has a large picture of Geo W Bush in her dining room.
Instead, I'm having dinner with friends in Brooklyn. I think I'll have a better time, but I'll miss my sister and other cousins.
Jose is very nice to make such an invitation.

Posted: 11/23/05 at 9:27pmWhat a generous and thoughtful offer! If you don't get three takers, perhaps you should consider opening your door to a homeless person. I bet they're plenty who would jump at the opportunity of spending some time in the company of a little turkey.

Thanks, Dame, and Mamie you would not have to bring anything, but of course another pie would be great.
You would both be welcomed.
Here's the menu
Roast Turkey with sausage and hazelnut stuffing
Mashed potatoes & parsnips with brown gravy
Glazed Brussel sprouts with roasted chestnuts
Cranberry & coffee poached pear relish
Beajolais Nouveau
Pumpkin Pie with fresh whipped cream

Jose.. it sounds delicious. I am in charge of the ice. Other than that I am not allowed in the kitchen. We have 8 people coming. And then later on some other friends.. . And at that bewitching hour of 420.. we are popping in "Finding Nemo."

Thanksgiving day is a great day to be in the city.
Hey Jose. Will there be strippers and mojitos?

Diva, a "free for all" isn't exactly how I'd describe it.
You and Bluemoon would most certainly be welcomed, if you were here.

Dame the only thing naked will be the turkey, except for his dressing.
As for mojitos, too sweet for my taste.
I'll stick to the wine, and then port and cigars after dinner.

Dear, dear Jose',
If I weren't spending the day with friends who graciously invited me here in Boston, I'd hop the next bus to be with you and yours. What a generous offer. Have a wonderful day.
Best,

And for those who have not had the benefit of meeting José in person, please understand that this as a genuine invitation and I can imagine he would make *anyone* welcome who accepted. What's more, you would be treated to a fine meal and have a hell of a good time. I would be there in a heartbeat if my presence wasn't required elsewhere.
Happy Thanksgiving, José!

Craig, well, the conversation can go in any direction, however I know I couldn't add much to a discussion of RENT.
Elphaba & Iflit, thank you. I know, Iflit, that you have much to occupy you today and this weekend.
Time to make the stuffing.
