Ahhh, that DOES make sense, jrb.
Up now! broadway86 doing "Live Like You Were Dyin'" by Tim McGraw! (You'll need to crank up the volume.)
In the south, you gotta have hard candy for Christmas. There is this hard starlight might sized candy that people make with Christmas designs. I take it to mean that she's having an "old fashioned, down home christmas" like she used to have.
'kay, that could make sense too.
And Cammie, what on EARTH are you referring to? Hmmm? *eyelash bat*
Tim McGraw! (A song that isn't Faith that I love already... it is her husband though, hmm.)
That was a good rendition of that song.
*has a sister that LOVES Tim McGraw*... so, I have to love that song.
I really despise "Live Like You Were Dying" in general and am not a Tim McGraw fan.
I gotta say that song didn't work for me at all. You definitely have a nice voice. There is no question about that, but the mix of being pitchy throughout plus already having a bit of a bias about the song coming in didn't do much for me.
I look forward to hear other things from you because I can tell that you have a nice voice.

It's as if Patronus is the male-me! Scary.
YOU'RE SCARED?
Honey, I feel like I should go get tested for all sorts of things now.
If he's the male you, I want a big heaping spoonful RIGHT NOW.
Nothin Tiff.. I'm not talking about anything.. You dirty pervert!
Question to the other contestants: How do you guys record the songs? I have to turn down my computer speakers (otherswise I get feedback), play the karaoke in WMA and sing into a cheap-ass microphone, without being able to hear the music clearly. Any other suggestions?
I ask only because I have perfect pitch, but that didn't come through on my last two songs.

The combination of those two posts, oh boy...do want the herpes WITH the spoonful of Patronus, or leave it on the side?
Up next! Kitzarina covering "Goodbye Earl" by the Dixie Chicks!
Hrm...can I substitute the side of herpes for gonorrhea?
Don't put it on my side! Ew!
I'm not sure what to suggest, 86. It seems like pitch was an issue for a couple of other contestants too.
I love "Goodbye Earl" hah..one of the best music videos ever.
Oh god...I'm next...
Akiva
Good one Jaily.. Nasty but still funny..
Well, Akiva just announced it, but Up now! Akiva performing "Cry" by Faith Hill!
That's one reason I hate country. Unfortunately, I'm predisposed to going flat anyway (the alto's curse), but country just makes it 10 times worse.
And you're right Akiva. The whole time that video kept playing in my head.
A million points, Kitz, for choosing THAT Dixie Chicks song.
Kitzarina:
LOVED THAT.
Goodbye Earl is one of those songs that I wasn't sure about hearing someone sing because everyone knows it. You know exactly how it sounds. We've all seen the video and we know what to expect.
My favorite thing about that performance was that I don't think I've heard your best which is pretty exciting. I haven't heard any other clips from the competition up until today's show, but that was really enjoyable and I look forward to hearing some other stuff from you.
There were some parts that went off a tad, but it's such a cute song and your voice is strong enough to play it off as characterization.
I suspect that country probably isn't your first choice of music but you made up for that by picking the perfect song for you and a ballsy one at that. Wonderful job!

Hahahahaha. I love the "Howdy y'all" at the beginning of jrb's clip. Really sets the tone.
Don't forget, guys, TWO VOTES THIS WEEK. TWO. Names in the subject title.
Yeah, JRB got points from me for the "Howdy ya'll."
Link! I couldn't even recognize your voice! (And that's a good thing.) Way to finally break out of the mold today.
Up now! Another Faith Hill song, "This Kiss", covered by WesternSky2!
