Ok, I've noticed something recently -- EVERYONE on here seems to be a legend already! Moderators, is there some way to come up with a new system for this that takes into account all of the people who are legends many times over already?
Just a thought...

I'm not a legend, I guess I'm just slow.
I only have about 700 posts.
i dont think off topic posts should count, but i dont think that that's possible.

Judas-
It's quality, not quantity

What would be the point?
One day I'll be a Broadway legend, one day...

i think they should just make more levels... cant be that difficult...
Propose something.
For some reason the title of this thread did not make sense to me until I opened it and I thought it was going to be something about a marriage proposal

I like siamese dream's idea, take away the levels and just display the actual amount of posts.
I thought this was gonna be something about thread deletions.

There shouldn't be indicated levels at all.
No one cares what anyone else is saying - much less how much they say it.
All we need to see is the day you joined - the rest speaks for itself.
I totally agree with DG. If I had any say about it, the entire thing would be eliminated.
We've seen those who arrive and are determined to rack up a total quickly, and it's never been pretty.
And it's a slippery slope to where people will be demanding "credit" for posts that have been deleted.
The status thing was fun in the beginning, when *everyone* was new. But it has run its course.
I've been places before with post counts on display. And if you have those little numbers, you *will* have idiots replying to each and every thread with "LOL" just to up their post count. Keep the titles instead. I'm sure once you've posted enough to be a Broadway Legend, there are more things you care about than your title. ^_^
I like the level system just as it is. It encourages posters to participate early on as members... but after you've been blathering on as much as I have with 20 billion posts, I think I would be more EMBARRASSED to have a counter either next to my name or be called some sort of an "ultra-uber-legend," just because I've been running off at the keyboard so much.
EDIT: Oh, and I don't think this would be something for the mods to ponder anyway. This has to do with how the boards are currently set up on the Web site, not how they are policed on a daily basis.

Nah, I couldn't care less if actual post count is displayed or not. However, displaying post count makes more sense than if BWW were to implement a system with levels above "Broadway Legend," since those titles are essentially indicating post count anyway.
Anything BUT making public the number of posts. I'd never post again.
Some of us have reached the "HUSSY" level. DD and I joined that level way back in the day.

What could be higher than Broadway Legend? Wait..."Special" Tony winner?
The Yul Brynner Longevity Level
or One For The Number of Broadway Posts that actually spur debate as opposed to frivolous ones ( of which we are all guilty )on the off Topic Board. After becoming a legend than a special status should be granted if Broadway vs Off Topic Threads started are more than 2 to 1
This thread proved my point -- posters ranging as far back as 03 (like me) to less than a year ago -- and all but two are legends...
Obviously it doesn't MATTER really, but none of this REALLY does. It's fun - and like you want to achieve higher levels in video games, I think there should be a system to achieve higher levels. Maybe a system in place that a new poster (under 100 posts or something) can only post once every half hour - that would stop the endless meaningless posts unless the person was REALLY determined.
I'm sure once you've posted enough to be a Broadway Legend, there are more things you care about than your title.
Except for getting a life, evidently.
Good grief - Go start your own board if you want to create a videogame of titles for those who participate on the board.
I was just getting into the topic but, in reality ( in the great cosmic scheme of things), it matters less than a tick on an elephants ass re who has the most posts etc. You post because you want to - short& sweet.
I may have a gazillion posts but I still have a dull job, neuro problems, the world is going to hell in a handbasket so what happens after you become a Broadway legend does not amount to a hill of beans
