In just a little over 3 hours from now, BETTY WHITE, at 88 years young, will make television history as the oldest person ever to host SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.
The event is expected to become one of the highest ranked in regards to ratings that the NBC late night show has received in a very long time. Following the theatrical release of the Sandra Bullock film THE PROPOSAL, in which White plays Bullock's grandmother-in-law-to-be, a Facebook group was created called "Betty White to Host SNL (please?)!" Over 500,000 people joined, prompting NBC to take notice and ask Ms. White if she would be interested.
Tonight, May 8 2010, (on the eve of Mother's Day) those Facebook group members will get their wish. Joining White will be other powerful female figures in SNL history, including Tina Fey, Molly Shannon, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, and Rachel Dratch.

For Romantico. Betty and Sarah this past Tuesday at a reception for Time's "100 Most Influential People" issue. I wonder if Sarah brought up the "crazy bitch" remark?
