Reggie, I inferred from Ghostlight's comment above, is that he's commenting on how unimportant the lipsyching topic is for us to be going on so long about it, and that the rest of the world is thinking about much more important issues.

whenever someone makes a comment like that, my response is always this- can't a person be concerned about those important issues, and do a lot of thinking about them (which I certainly do), at the same time as having some harmless fun gossiping on a message board? Must we always be serious and "relevant?"

I do enough worrying about real problems, personal and societal. I like to get silly for some relief!

Sorry for not being clearer, Jane, but to clarify. I was, in fact, countering theaternut's claim that "Beyonce has been made a fool all over the world". While I'm sure it's being reported in many big countries, it simply isn't big news, or shouldn't be big news, and I don't think most of the people of the world think Beyonce was made a fool for lip-syncing. The media circus, as Erik put it, is over the top and there are more important things for the world's journalists to be discussing.

Here is completely different. I don't think it's silly or wrong to discuss it here, even at length (this is the off-topic board, after all), and when I talked about going on so long, I referred strictly to theaternut's repeated bashing of Beyonce (who, again, I don't know from Kelly Clark. Once you've made your point, why keep repeating it? That's his right, of course, but I just don't understand it.

I hope I've made myself clear - now go wild with your off-topic silly gossip, ladywoman!

Listen MISSY.. you can put all your little twists and turns and try to talk in circles..... but don't get all hallelujah and then say you don't care or that this conversation is beneath you. It doesn't work.
