I don't give two poops if they lip synch it or not. There's too much riding on that performance to NOT be prepared with some sort of a backup, for whatever reason. But that thing with the earpiece now just cracks my ass up.

What I'm thinking is they had the ear piece in:

a. WAY before they decided to go to the prerecorded track. I assume like a true performer that it was on a belt wrapped around her inside her dress or fastened some other way, something they couldn't have easily taken off.

or

b. That she knew we was going to lip-synch, with the wind, crowd, etc she asked for a monitor in her ear so she knew where she was at in the song, once she got a good footing she took it out.
