I don't like Soledad O'Brien and her ass-kissing of that old grouchy guy, McCafferty or whatever but I love Bill. Anyone else like him. What other newscasters do you like?

Bill Hemmer is BY FAR the best looking anchor on tv. I actually like watching the news again.


(also Mike Wood, the Fox 5 weatherman in NYC. Too bad Wood can't move over to CNN. That would make a dream news team.!)

Bill Hemmer looks into the camera like he's looking into your eyes. This is a trick that only a handful of TV personalities can do.

Oprah obviously does it, and Katie Couric used to do it. (She's gotten a little phony lately.) Charlie Gibson on GMA does it to a certain extent.

Hemmer is also intelligent and cute, but it's his ability to connect through the camera that makes him powerful on TV. ABC should hire him to spell Peter Jennings during Peter's cancer treatments.

let me remind you all that months ago we determined that Anderson Cooper is mine -- you can all adore him, but at the end of the day he is mine!

Hemmer is a cutie as well and PJ hit it right on the head...he does connect through the camera....

i used to post about Billy and his thick neck a while ago. His Howdy Doody looks really do it for me. i also like the "tidbits" in interviews about how he bonded with the Marines when imbedded (yeah, i said "bedded") and how he is his own stylist, shopping for his own wardrobe. He looked really handsome and more rugged reporting from the Vatican this week (probably the difference in lighting, but perhaps because the travel schedule left him a bit tired---it didn't hurt his looks, though, just made them different). Apparently he is a very dedicated journalist, who took some chances early in his career (like paying for his own travel and filing reports for free in order to prove his reportage skills)...and now there is some slight tension because he isn't content to just anchor but wants to do on-site newsgathering as well (like rejoining those lucky Marines).

He's a catch. Cooper is also smart, gorgeous, and as a plus, likely loaded (thanks to his mom, Gloria Vanderbilt).

i do like the weatherman with Soledad now, and that when "Hummer" Hemmer is in the field he takes over as anchor.
