Watched it and got REALLY bored.
I was disappointed, it had potential.
And failed. Just like Jericho

I think JR engineered his death
Seriously, Flockhart has the most daunting acting job of her young career. That is acting as a conservative wanna TV personality
Since we watched it, it is a cinch to be cancelled. All new shows we watch suffer this fate. Somehow, if we watch an established one nothing tragic befalls it

Posted: 9/25/06 at 6:30pmI'm on the fence. I thought the pilot set up the characters well, and it does have an excellent cast. It was refreshing to see a gay character that isn't typical of most gays depicted on tv. So I'd give it a chance. On the other hand, it was pretty snoozy and a little too obvious. I doubt it will last.

Posted: 9/25/06 at 6:48pmI thought it was OK. Pilots are sometimes a bad indicator of what the show can or will be. I'm giving it a shot.

I've never been a Jon Robin Baitz fan. I've suffered through too many productions of his whiny, pretentious, over rated plays.. but some reason I decided to give the show try.. OUCH!!!
I simply don't get why people think is work is good.

Posted: 10/12/06 at 12:56pmIs anyone still watching? This last weeks episode was fantastic. It has gotten so much better over the last two weeks. Sally Field had some amazing moments this week. I found myself laughing one moment and in tears the next. Do not judge this show by the pilot. Give it another chance. I think it's my favorite new drama.

Posted: 10/12/06 at 4:55pmI don't care for Rachel Griffiths. Whenever I see her, I'm reminded of Brenda from Six Feet Under.

I can't say I love it yet, but Sally Field was incredible in Sunday's episode, calling out the mistress...

Dottie, really? This character is such a departure from Brenda. I love Rachel.
I'm really enjoying the show so far and think it's up there with the best of the new offerings this season. Much better than the self-important Studio 60!

Blueroses, her facial expressions are very similar (or at least in my opinion).
I totally agree about the "self important" Studio 60. I tried watching it, but it's just not to my liking.

Posted: 10/13/06 at 5:45pmTom it is the same face indeed. I'm kind of liking the show now.

One of, if not the best, new series of the season. Sally Fields' scene with her son outside the police station was Emmy caliber. In fact, the entire cast is superb and the writing is first-rate. Too bad for those who didn't hang in longer than the pilot. I've always said you can't judge a series by the pilot episode. It's the equivalent of giving up on a book after reading one chapter.

Another excellent episode last night. One of my three must sees of the week. My other two are Grey's Anatomy and Heroes. I love all the characters on there. I especially love Kevin (Matthew Rhys).

Posted: 10/30/06 at 7:27pmI love it more and more each week. It has just the right balance of drama and humor. The characters and storylines are compelling, the acting is first-rate and the writing is intelligent. I guess I'm just a sucker for a good family drama.

Posted: 10/30/06 at 7:32pmI loved the "They'll think I'm The Wicked Witch of the West!" line. I loved last night's episode. The only thing I don't like about Brothers and Sisters is Calista Flockhart, both her and her character drive me nuts.
It was awesome. - theaterkid1015

Anyone know how this show is doing? Has it been given a full season?
And...anyone know who was originally cast as the lawyer brother? What has the actor who plays him now (Matthew Rhys) been in? He looks familiar. Does he have an accent or am I hearing things?
