$90...they tried to charge more, but Boobs is broke by this time of the month, so they got declined. There goes Girly's birthday cake!

My daughter had her ATM card "skimmed" a few years back. They emptied out her account by using the card at 3 different bank - in another city. This is a huge problem for banks because they have to eventually eat the loss. Better them than us!

Morning Adults - that is one of the reasons I rarely use my debit card - the Credit Card has an easier way to challenge purchases. I have had my card number stolen a couple of times though - once we found out when someone was buying 12K worth of office supplies in London.
Happy Thurday - YWIW is still a wee bit tired. Too much diet and exercise causes YWIW to be a cranky girl, so taking a break from the exercise for a few days.

Can't have a cranky YWIW! How 'bout helping me eat this banana bread? It's not long out of the oven.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

When I retire from teaching, if any one in the last group of students is "offended" by their final grade, I am going to blast them to Alpha Centauri and possibly further. Especially if the grade in question is a B+.
For the time being though, I will attend the meeting with the student, the chair and the dean which has now been scheduled for the first week of school. I will be polite, but I will be firm, and I will not back down.
Seriously? OFFENDED by a B+?
OYfvckingVEY.

HUgs to all!
Deet, a friend of mine is a very bright girl, but, she has a demanding mother. When we were still in high school, her mother told us that, ' Elizabeth (she was never just Liz to her her mother) was very lazy this year - she brought home a 'B'. Of course, that meant that in her usual sea of A's and A+'s, Liz didn't apply herself in one subject. At least her mother did not blame the teacher. But, if her mother only knew, Liz couldn't care less about grades. In fact, the only subject she really studied for was that 'B'! She was one of those annoying people who can sail through by intelligence and wits alone. But, she was so phlegmatic you could never tell if she cared one way or the other. Her mother did, though. Liz is just Liz.

BG - 8/8 was our father's birthday and the first after his passing (and our anniversary!)
Excellent vacation! Lake was beautiful - all of the clan got along and we swam, kayaked, boated, Mrs. Brd paddle boarded and mainly we sat at the pool. Few work items, but otherwise we relaxed. We celebrated out Anniversary with friends and then a Bears pre-season game. The house is a mess and there are loads of laundry, but life is good!
