Some of my team members aren't able to make it in - mostly because their area schools are closed so they have to stay home with the kids. Two told me they will be delayed, waiting for plows to clear the streets so they can get to the train. Two are already there.
I expect that the appt in CT will be cancelled, or can be rescheduled, which is what I'd prefer. In which case I'll head to the office.
Hope everyone is very careful. The cold is making things dangerously icy!

Posted: 1/22/14 at 9:26amI'm working from home for the third day this week. I could get used to this! I'll have to go out soon, though, to start the cleanup. Not looking forward to leaving the comfort of my living room. I am glad I went out a couple times to clean off the roof of my truck and shovel the stuff that came off. That was smart of me for a change. From what I can tell, what's on the roof now, doesn't look too bad. At least looking from the kitchen window, it doesn't seem so. I'll have to start it and get it warmed up and hopefully help loosen what's still on top.

Morning! Woke up to a delayed opening at 11 (though they left me off the email and i had to text a coworker to find out) but the boss just called to tell me to just work from home as he needs the project I am working on done with no distractions. It'd prob be a bit easier to do it in the office, but hey, less time I need to be out in the cold the better.
And this is the second time I haven't had to clean off my own car...... Mr. Happy is proving to be useful.
Stay safe and warm out there today peoples!!!

Posted: 1/22/14 at 9:37amGod bless HC. He had to shovel the driveway to pull in last night. So he cleaned my car and the rest of the driveway. He also made a maze for the puppies in the backyard.

They do. Although before he made the path I opened the door and the 2 little ones stuck their heads out and ran back into the kitchen LOL
It's so nice that Mr. Happy helps. I like him already!

Mr. Happy Rules.
Back to work today, and hopefully a bit of normalcy.
We have had a warm spell on this coast, and we could actually use some rain - hopefully it will come otherwise, drought. It was in the high 70's yesterday.
Happy Hump Day Adults - stay safe, dry and warm!

I actually like it a wee bit cooler - if that helps. I prefer SanFran or Seattle weather.

I was just teasing. My CA bestie gets cold when it's anything under 75. It's so funny when she comes here, especially in the fall. You'd think she was experiencing an artic blast. I remember a time when you couldn't get her in the house after a snow. I guess living in AZ, NV and now CA has thinned out her Jersey blood!!
Cleaning the roof was easy peasy!! And picking up the stuff that fell off was, too. So glad I made myself go out those times yesterday.

yeah, I just went out to move my car to a cleaned out space (this way when the super comes along he can now plow my original spot) and I backed right out over the snow. and we are on the side of the sun for the moment which is helping. Not looking forward to later when it is all ice though.
Forgot that my jury duty summons for tomorrow is at the office. I called the courts but they are all closed today. fun.

Mornin'
We beat the storm out on Monday night -- actually, it helped push us across the pond in an astonishing 5.5 hours.
We met up with VM last night for tea before his performance, and we're seeing his show tonight and dinner after.
Last night we saw a play called MOJO, written by JERUSALEM author Jez Butterworth, and starring Rupert Grint AND JOHN BATES!!! (Brendan Coyle, actually.) A very funny, very dark comedy. Rupert Grint was very good -- like Daniel Radcliffe, he's got stage presence and has become quite a good actor. And Brendan Coyle was terrific: smarmy, evil, and completely opposite his John Bates character.

'Morning! We have a late start today, thanks to the ice. We start classes at 10am but I got in here at 8am because I've got so much to do.
Deet - I would have loved to have seen that production - wow! Trust me, you would NOT want to experience our weather this week. Nice planning in your part!
