We'll have a snow/wintery mix Sunday night into Monday morning. Oh joy....
Ick. I keep hearing it that it's supposed to start here Sunday afternoon and go all day Monday.

Lambs made out of butter coming soon.
I was talking about my chins.
Yeah. That's right. MY chins.

Witty lines from "The Women."
Yeah, yeah.
I so hate shopping, I'm contemplating buying new undergarments online. I also figure, even paying shipping, it'll be cheaper since I'm not passing other things, saying oh I could use this, or hmm, think I'll pick this up, too.

Make sure any online purchases you keep the receipts because if you don't pay sales tax our "state" needs you to tell them, so they can tax you.
Um, okay, sure. That'll happen.
And don't forget...St. Joseph's pastries soon, too!!

I will be spending most of my weekend doing my taxes - and moms. (Or, organizing everything to give to the guy who does my taxes - and moms). I seem to get to it later and later every year. Ugh.
Will also spend part of it helping my bestie from childhood start to organize her parents to move out of the house they've lived in her entire life, and move to the Senior Living community where my mom lives. An enormous amount of work, but having sort-of recently done it, I have a few tips and some information that I think will help her.
I plan to spend most of it just staying inside! BRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrr. My apartment, which is usually so warm, is drafty and chilly.
I can't wait for March 29th!
Girly, I hate to shop, so try to do it online whenever there are 'free shipping' offers...
Have fun!
Girly, that's what I told my accountant. Like I know what I purchased last year online that I wasn't taxed for. She said there was no heads up either. They just came out with this new rule. She said we don't have to worry about Amazon anymore being there is now a NJ facility. If you check when you purchase from Amazon recently we get hit with Sales Tax. Bastards!!!
That's right! St. Joseph's pastries!!!!! There goes that diet
I saw that on Amazon Christmas time, so I did a Google search to find out when that started. And they raised their minimum purchase to qualify for free shipping. Idjits.
Addy, I was looking for coupon codes, but have been coming up empty.

This weather is horrendous.
WELCOME BACK, TINKY! We missed you *hugs* How did you enjoy my Motherland?
I'm gonna need a bigger ark - we finally have some wicked weather - it is pouring as if God herself is crying. The Oscars may get rained out - which is actually kind of fun in a weird way - seeing which stars can go with it and make it work with weather complications.
Seriously, we are supposed to get 3 inches in a short time span - that means flooding and freeways at a standstill - UGH. We are the biggest babies when it comes to weather.
Welcome home Tink! I am sure your feline harem was happy to see you!
And, Addy - my taxes are on this weekend's "to do" list as well. UGH.
On the plus side - my trip to Cedar Rapids next week was rescheduled - YAY!
awww, thanks Boobs! it was nice to come home to the man and furballs, but otherwise, there was not one part of me that wanted to leave. When we got to the Rome train stations for the airport shuttle, I came closer than ever to throwing away responsibility and jumping back on a train back to Florence! Overall, Venice was nice and all, but didn't need more than 2 days there (maybe if weather was nicer that would be different) but did love getting lost in all the tiny streets! Florence is my heaven. Just everything (other than clown on rollerblades but we can talk about that at another time) and than Tuscany, just, wow. Rome was hard to adjust to right after that (train ride from florence to rome - OMG!) as it is just NYC with a lot more old stuff really. But that was also some of the fatigue setting in. Vatican tour was amazing and had a fantastic tour guide. Eventually started to fall in love with the city but was time to leave.
averaged 8-10 miles minimum a day. only took the subway twice. never a cab or bus (other than tours). All leg power (carb burning). And I did not sleep a wink on flight out (landed for layover in Amsterdam so now I have a stamp in my passport from there too! ) seems 2 benadryl has opposite effect on me and chugging a few 1/4 bottles of wine as well. only averaged maybe 2-3 hours a night of sleep (beds were hard as a rock... fix that italy). still haven't slept actually. Was doing my budgeting at 3am. I still have $300 left over somehow. woohoo!
Tinky, my Mom didn't think much of Venice either. She found it to be a dirty city...I would still like to visit one day...mainly for a gondola ride, Murano glass and a mask. I LOVE Florence as well. I agree with you about ROME, but the history of that city is electrifying. Every where you turn there is a story in front of you. I need to go back and do the Amalfi coast too. It's a dream of mine.
Almafi coast would be beautiful!!! Something may have fallen into my bag in Murano for you.....

MT - awesome trip!!! I am so jealous!
Happy Friday! So happy for the weekend! Dinner with friends and then all day fund raiser on Sunday - one of my favorites. Mrs. Brd works in the kitchen and also C15 has to work because he received one of the scholarships a few years ago.
Cold here!!!
Hey brd! Sounds like a fun weekend.
Tomorrow morning I have to take poor HC for his colonoscopy. Tomorrow night we seeing my best friend from H.S. daughter in her H.S. production of RENT. She's playing Joanne. This should be interesting. I wonder how her Mom, who is Muslim, feels about her daughter playing a lesbian.
Sunday is the usual, church and then chores around the house.
Sunday is Mr. Happy's birthday so the rest of the weekend is all about whatever he wants to do and cleaning/unpacking. We were supposed to be spending day in Philly on Sunday for a concert but I don't think that will happen now. Which my feet are not complaining about.
I conspired with his best friend and got the ingredient list, so I am off to the brew store to go buy a bunch of grains and hops for the next batch of beer he wants to make. Different then having to buy random computer parts for my last relationship.
Plus Tinky you benefit from the gift
