SPRING!

I didn't wear socks today.
(Not that it's that warm yet, but I just wanted to feel a little spring-like. That, and my office us usually about 90 degrees)

A 2pm meeting yesterday with the CEO resulted in a massive project due in 2 weeks. One of which is when I'm on vacation. It was *suggested* that I could postpone my vacation, to which I replied no. (I'll submit a resignation before I cancel this vacation...) So, lockdown begins a little early this year. Nice knowing you all!

Addy that sucks! I'm waiting for them to ask me to reschedule my June vacation being we go "live" May 5th with the new team.

Addy - I was almost in that position when I went to Scotland, and my response was "you postpone it, you pay for it". With budgets as tight as they were in my company - that was enough to end the discussion.

I have a feeling in your industry, that line would not be so persuasive. I hope you get it done this week and then get to enjoy and relax.

Good news on the mom front. Her last numbers were fantastic. It looks like she may have a shot at remission.

YWIW - THAT is wonderful, excellent, fabulous news! The prayers, good karma all continue and so glad her fighting spirit is seeing her through this!

There isn't a thing in the world that would get in the way of this trip with my Mom and sister. Not a thing. Job included.

Oh, and I did once break an alarm clock. I had a Big Ben wind up next to my clock radio, and kept them both set. Occasionally the Big Ben would get thrown across the room. I threw it one too many times, and it went kaput.

Professional workshops here today. Kids are out on field trips. Our benefit auction is tomorrow night and the silent auction part is being set up outside my office. I guess that means I get to place the first bids.
