I doubt he ventures much from the couch today, and only to let the dogs out occasionally. And maybe to eat/take bathroom breaks.
Moony, what time did your train get back? I assume you did make that 5:40ish one?

I believe she made it, Girly, as she wasn't on the platform after it left...

Ha! Yes, I made the 5:40pm, but just barely. I was standing on the platform, minding my own business, when I glanced down to the right and spotted D2, sitting on a bench. Delighted to see him, I started down to chat, when it dawned on me: if he was traveling north and I was headed south, we should NOT be waiting on the same platform! I dashed back down the stairs to the tunnel leading to the correct platform, just as my train arrived. I hit the top of the platform and stepped onto the train just as the doors were closing. Made it by a hair, but I made it.

Oh, boy. After my rockstar navigating yesterday, that would've been hilarious. For me, anyway.
Yeah, that's why I said your train would be on the other side and his on the side we were on. Definitely shouldn't be on the same side. LOL.

Yup, after all the maneuvering you did to get us to the train station, it would have been criminally funny to have missed the train, due to stupidity. I swear, I think my brain shuts down after 4:00pm.
8:00 a.m. Sunday wake up calls are definitely not for me. I did decide to throw some laundry in when I got home. I went downstairs to transfer from washer to dryer, only to discover I never put the laundry IN the washer to begin with. Had to start all over. I hased a tired.

Mooney - very funny glad you made the train!
Worked in the yard Saturday and Sunday - sore and tired.
So glad so many of you could be there. I want to hear ALL about it!
I spent the weekend with Mom. Her surgical procedure went well, but it was hard to keep her off her feet, per Doctor's orders. I gardened, grocery-shopped, did laundry, paid bills, changed surgical dressings, tried to keep her comfortable, cooked, cleaned, and then headed home Sunday night to try to manage my own life. Pretty damned exhausted. Welcome to my weekends... minus the surgical procedure, each one is pretty much like another these days. (But grateful to be able to be of help!)
It's really bad when getting back to work on a Monday morning (especially this time of year), is the most relaxing part of my week.
Can't believe it's the last day of June!

Morning Adults - Glad everyone had a grand time yesterday, and that Addy's mom is doing well.
Quiet weekend in LA LA Land - errands and working out, and cleaning up some clutter, then homework for my all day call today (which started at 7AM). On the upside, I get to work from home...
Short week this week YAHOO!

Short week here also!
(Y, I assume you were on scotusblog? - very scary ruling!)
Brd, coming your way in September. What is going on theater wise?
Brd - scary is right - I am sick and tired of our old, male Supreme Court justices making rulings because things are icky to them. The fact that a corporation is now allowed to hold religious beliefs, when the entire purpose behind a corporation was to create a limited liability entity that was separate and distinct from a person seems on it its face inconsistent. A corporation cannot serve in the military, vote (though they do get to buy elections), go to jail, or, you know, live. Yet, it can impose religious beliefs of its owners onto its employees? Does this now mean that we can pierce the corporate veil and hold those individuals responsible for the conduct of the corporation, since they now get to use it to impose beliefs on people?
Yeah, I am pissed. My only hope is that this ruling energizes folks for the midterms.
Hi peeps! It was wonderful seeing Girly, Tinky, Moony, Philosophy girl and Deet at my final performance of JCS yesterday. I'm a little sad today that it's over. I had so much fun doing this role. It will always be one of my favorite. I'm glad you all got to share it with me. YOU and Addy it was recorded twice, so you will get a chance to see my performance. As soon as I good copy I will post it on youtube.
Addy, I'm glad to hear all went well with Mom's surgery.
BTW did anyone get to watch VICIOUS on PBS? Try to catch it if you missed it.

I think Mr. Roxy saw it. I watched Unforgettable (which is what you are).
I'll have to check it out, Boobs!
Thanks, all, for the good Addy-mom wishes. Much appreciated.
I actually re-watched the season finale of Revenge last night. I kept wanting to see it again, because it all unfolded so quickly. So much packed into that episode. Loved it.

And, by the way, Boobs, you need to check out your birthday thread. It's down the page a bit.

Y - loved the rant!
I did not watch TV last night - sat on the deck and then C18 had purchased a fire pit so we did that until 10:30.
We watched the Nashville finale on Saturday. That is one of Mrs. Brd's shows.
brdlwyr; Why are you ignoring my question?
Brd- I am serious - I would argue that any corporation that dictates policy based upon its owners personal religious beliefs has created a very fuzzy area on whether or not the corporation is in fact a separate legal entity. If I had a claim against them, I would individually name all of the corporate officers to the suit, indicating that by using the corporation to advance their personal religious beliefs, and taking away their employees abilities to exercise their own religious freedom, that they have now waded back into personal liability for the corporations conduct. Corporations are supposed to be a separate and distinct legal entity - what they SCOTUS has done is allow the individual to dictate the policy of a supposed independent entity, and thereby allowed the corporate veil to be pierced. The corporation is now acting specifically as an alter ago of the individuals personal religious views, and as such, the individual is now responsible for the corporations conduct.
They cannot have it both ways - use it to limit exposure/liability, while at the same time using it to advance personal religious beliefs.
