What's old is new for me. I'm back in Florida and at my old job.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
Afternoon, folks! Crazy morning here so I am just now logging on. Tomorrow is my Friday, though and we have a dress down day, so jeans and a green top suit me fine. Actually, I may wear my family's clan dress tartan, which is very pretty (if you like tartan plaid). It's a black background with cobalt blue, red and white lines. And tomorrow is my once-a-year shamrock shake indulgence. Much tastier than green beer!
Paddy is derived from the Irish, Pádraig: the source of those mysterious, emerald double-Ds. Patty is the diminutive of Patricia, or a burger, and just not something you call a fella. There isn't a sinner in Ireland that would refer to a Patrick as “Patty”.

I was looking forward to dinner tonight until I found out my cousin invited this one couple. The guy is such a blow hard. Constantly talking about all his money, investments, selling his one shore house to buy one a few doors away. It's nauseating. My Goddaughter always bites her tongue when he's around since, of course, his spoiled only child is the only one in the world who is making something of herself. Funny that my Mom and his Mom in high school, were best of friends. I have pics upon pics of the two of them together. I can't even gather the energy to bring them around to show them to him. I've thought about it a few times.
I don't know if you remember me telling the time he walked out of his house one morning, got in his truck, only to have it not go anywhere. The tires on his Escalade were stolen during the night, and he didn't even notice before he got in. I chuckled over that for days afterwards.

Mainly, because I don't want that thing in my bed.

Hi, Peeps. Can't help with the toaster oven, but I am a wizz with induction.
It's a rainy Saturday morning as the weather does its Autumn turn-around and it neatly fits my mood. Yesterday was to have been the Club's annual Family Day. This is usually a lot of fun and a good way for the fans to connect with the players and the Club while enjoying live music, seeing the presentation of the players' guernseys, viewing the fireworks, munching on a variety of fare from top food trucks etc, etc, etc.. You get the drift. A lot of people did a lot of work to ensure the fun. Well, wouldn't you know it. After a hot and dry Summer, Autumn would choose Family Day to come busting through the door. Wave after wave of real rain, the howling gale of damaging winds and our poor little event was washed away before it began. Oh, well. It seemed such a sad thing before I heard the news this morning of the sudden death of the dear friend of a dear friend. It put yesterday's frustration into perspective and lent a new grey to the weather outside.
Sorry to be a downer. I'll do better next time and hopefully bring an Easter bunny to the party if I can't find the vodka.
