DD! Yay for NYC shenanigans!
Kansas - my family in Nova Scotia just got rid of all their snow - only to have a dusting last night. They're ready to give up and move south.

DD - what are you seeing in NYC?
Brd - no idea. I will be tied up for the most part, however I do have a week to do fun stuff. Would love to see On the 20th Century and The Visit. Not sure if I can get tickets to either/both. The King and I is also up there, but again, tickets... Hoping to see off and off-off Broadway shows too.

I know! Someday, Somewhere!
Happy Friday, kids!
Happy Friday all!
brrrrrr.
Heading to Cape May for the weekend after work, so that will make this day go horribly slow. But I'm excited. Any experts have options or places to go?
Climb to the top of the Cape May Lighthouse. Hiking and nature at Higbee Beach Wildlife Preserve. Several wineries and a brewery in the area. Of course, I like the antiquing and drinks at one of the old hotels.
Oh, yeah, Uncle Bill's Pancake House!

Cool, most of those were already on the list!! Lighthouse, hiking, cape may brewery, maybe a winery. His mom wanted us to go to her favorite restaurant (i forget the name) but it is not opening until next week, so I was gonna be touristy and take him to The Lobster House. We shall see. Make a quick stop in Wildwood on our way home on Sunday. There are 3 other breweries along the way, so hit one tonight and maybe another on the way home. Blair is enjoying having an inbuilt DD now a days, lol. Make sure to pack the winter coat the way the weather has been.

I'd like to know where all this global warming they've been promising us is. It's 43 g=here right now and will be in the 30s when the we get out of the Prom tonight. BRRRR!
You know, SOMMS, you could have started and stopped the suggestions for Tink with one word: breweries.

And, we have rain tomorrow! Wanted to work on yard!
This is true, moony!
At first i was like it is way too early for prom, but then reality clicked in and it really isn't. Fun! Good luck!

Yes, almost the lusty busty month of May!
Y - seeing Carousel Sunday. Will post review.
I go to bed as the east coast rises... finishing a freelance project, and I *had* to take two hours to see the Jenner interview and it's due in the morning. This will be a chill weekend... first one in a while. Seeing "Into the Woods" later tonight... one of those reduced cast/minimal staging and costume versions. Everyone is raving.

I love Into the Woods - seen a few productions and watched the original BWW cast tape (yes VHS) 100 times! Cold and rainy here - still did a little pruning of the backyard bushes. At office - two major meetings this week. C21 home this week. Hard to believe only one year of college left for her!
That was the *best* production of Into the Woods I have seen on stage since the first national tour. Absolutely loved it... the doubling worked quite well and was very clever. They pushed the boundaries of gender just enough to keep it interesting, and everyone was incredibly talented. What I loved the most was that not a single person on the stage was imitating the "iconic" performances, they each created their own characters. It also proved that this show can and does work in an intimate setting with minimal sets and contemporary costume. Still on a super high...
Morning.
Moony, are you caught up on Blue Bloods??!! OMG!!! Season finale on Friday.

Morning!
Yup, caught up on Saturday night. I must confess to knowing all that was going to happen already - as well as knowing this Friday's scenario. I'm the Queen of the Spoilers. No worries - I won't whisper a word around here. Great scripts!
Last day for Seniors here. We are on vigilant watch for pranks. Sigh.
Doesn't that take away from the show when you're actually watching the episode when you know what's going to happen ahead of time?? You don't have anything to look forward to. Once I know something's going to happen on any of my shows, I find I hardly pay any attention when I do watch.

DD - that is excellent!
I saw the Lyric Opera's Carousel this weekend. Strange script (never seen it before) - excellent production! Staging and dance scenes wonderful. Soaring voices. Charlotte d’Amboise - smoking hot from Dress Circle! Steven Pasquale, Laura Osnes, Jenn Gambatese - real actors on the Lyric stage.

Girly - no, quite the opposite. I always look forward to seeing how the plot is played out. I also always read the last chapter of a book first. It helps me know where characters and plot lines are headed and I care about the storyline more.
Brd - excellent cast! Yes, I've long had problems with Carousel's story, but I love the music. Stupid Julie, not so much.

Yes, it is certainly not clear in Act One why she marries the buffoon!
Hmm, last chapter first! Interesting. Two weeks to AP exams! Torture for C17 and torture for his dad!
Shaved my first and only facial hair. Girls and Mrs Brd HATED. C17 was on my side. We were out to dinner and Mrs Brd made it clear that "dessert" would require the demise of my beard!
Interesting, Moony.
Poor brd.

Mid-day(ish) greetings.
Trip this week was cancelled so I'm enjoying some 'found' time. SO much to do in the office, I'm delighted to have time at my desk.
Wonderful to see one of our own last night at 54 Below. And to hear SonofRobbieJ (or whatever name he's using on the boards these days!) sing the life out of 'Liasons'. Magnificent. Drinks after. A nice way to cap off a busy and fun weekend.
