Ernest and Julio Gallo now make hot drinks? Cool!

Good morning everyone! I got up at 3:45am. We were expecting sleet/snow/ice between 4:00am and 10:00am. My boss and I are in charge of notifying the news stations, parents, faculty and staff if we have a delayed opening or closure due to weather. So I got up to check out the weather - nothing. Checked the county school system at 4:15am. Nothing. Checked the weather and had a second cup of coffee at 4:30am. Nothing. Newspaper came at 5:00am so I made breakfast and just stayed up.

It's going to be a looooong day.

I would but we are having our faculty/staff Christmas party at 1:30. I'll have a Gallo then.

Oh, wait - that's right. We have @ 60 students who can't leave when the bell rings at 1:00 and I have to stay with them in the Gym until they all get picked up. No Gallo.

Busy morning and I've got a little luncheon to go to today. Unfortunately, no alcohol will be consumed. Boo.

my client is not having a good week. A fire broke out in one site we recently installed at, and one we installed at weds was robbed last night.....never a dull day. It's good use for internal jokes though

BWG, that is horrible, I am seeing it everywhere. Parents at schoo, some of my best friends, a client - all laid off! My family has been immune and we have 19 in the work force. It will soon affect our business.

Off to a Dr. appointment and then a long Friday at work. I will toast you all sometime tonight!

I still have cookies to deliver this weekend, and some wrapping to do, and my cards - and then, I am done!

Wheeew.

Now, if I could just find my gold ring that (I fear) Zander used as a play toy, all would be well. I don't think he would eat it, but it would make a very convenient hockey puck for him to play with.

My class ring from law school - I love that stupid thing - I probably will end up buying a replacement if I cannot find it!

My daughter's firm laid off 10% of their staff in October. More cuts are coming in January and she's stressing out. It's a big international architecure and interior design firm, but the D.C. branch's clients are mostly banks and...er...law firms.

I'm fully convinced I am a masochist. All I ever do is things I know will hurt me in some way, lol, but I always give in.

lastest event - eating pizza. tasted so good but now I feel like I am going to fall over and die. ugh.

Preparing for the first winter storm. The news are already on Storm Watch. I always figure when they predict them, nothing happens. It's when they don't see them coming that it's a mess. On the flip side, they're predicting 24" of snow on the passes, not enough to open for ski season, but it gets us closer. Maybe by next weekend.
