Yep, it's just perverted evilness.
Oh Brd, we all get work done, BWW notwithstanding. It is, as SOMMS says, perverted evilness.
Which does have it's place. But on our own time, not theirs.
Gee, I hope there is a tax deduction for that perverted evilness.
I'll have Obama put it in the stimulus plan.

I need a stimulus plan! 30 Rock is so freaking funny!
I'll watch 30 Rock soon, for sure!
Hiya! Sitting with my sister catching up ...
That is absolutely fantastic to hear and makes me smile.

You are in DC?
I was wondering why the sun was shining at midnight.

SOOOOoooooo, here we are.
The TinMan and I have a few things on our plate, at the moment. Little things like the way the collapsing economy has drastically affected our monthly income, and the continuing awareness of how my alcoholism affects our lives.
AND IN THE MEANTIME, my beloved baby brother continues to be a presence, necessitating our input and guidance – and now we now have our first houseguest of the month.
But that’s ok, because the next to arrive – tomorrow – is my mother and step-father. And our current houseguest is an old family friend who actually knows ALL the history. Which is good, because this visit by them is the first since I cancelled their LAST visit during our year of estrangement.
Honestly, why I haven’t taken up hard drugs is beyond me.
Right now, EVERYTHING is ‘beyond me’ – which is why I’m here babbling instead of tending to all this nonsense I jokingly refer to as my life.
The only consolation I have is that no one reads back in this thread – so this rant can just filter into the ether along with all the other ridiculous nonsense that goes on here.

Dear Q, no rant goes unnoticed. You have more than your share of burdens right now. Vent away - it's good for the poor soul.
Quick hello here! I'm downtown at a conference most of the day. Will pop in late in the day. Until then.....
Sounds like fun Moony!
I'm still waiting to hear about your daughter's Brad Pitt moment.
TGIF, folks!

Q, FYI, I always skim back.
But, you know we're all here for you. Well, I hope you do!

"No Rant Goes Unnoticed" sounds like a possible title for our themesong
Meanwhile, the sun is shining, the sky is clear - and my mother just called to say they'd be arriving early.
Is it still called a Bloody mary if you just put vodka on the rocks?
Only if there was a bar fight and someone called you Mary.
Mornin' All.
Q, *hugs* But um, you get me soon. Though whether that adds to your troubles and pressure, I'm not sure!
I'd invite you to my family, but well, we all know there would be bloodshed. My FGF's tend to be protective.
*Sends out love, thoughts, and a bit of tomato juice and celery to Q*
I hope the trip is less stressful than you fear.
Much love to you.
Mornin' YWIW.

Y'all are great
Honestly, we all know that I can find my way through. I might only have tattered remnants of what little brain I have left when it's over, but I'll survive.
Reality is, no matter WHAT happens, it will all be over after a few hours. Until they return next weekend - when we'll be joined by my nephew who has just joined the military - a situation which has caused everyone to be mad at me because I didn't support the decision. And spoke my mind.
I know, I know - it's just too surprising to think of ME speaking my mind.

Q, that is a martini!
Happy Friday! It is a beautiful day in Chicago - over 60 degrees and sunny. I will take a nice walk at lunch.
Mrs. Brd's friend is working on Fleetwood Mac tickets for her tonight. (Shira and MT - they are a rock band from the 70's)
Thanks Brd. I KNOW Fleetwood Mac, and I like Stevie Nicks!!
Adding my love and support to Q. From the back of the same boat.
And Shira:
"Only if there was a bar fight and someone called you Mary."
Funniest thing you've ever said.
