Good morning everyone. This is certainly a lovely morning. We've had quite a few of them lately!
I had a lovely day yesterday. I spent most of the day down at the Udvar-Hazy museum. It's part of the Smithsonian's Air and Space Museum. It's located close to Dulles Airport and it houses most of the aircraft that's too large to place in the museum on the mall. They have a terrific Space exploration hall with one of the space shuttles in it. It wasn't complete the last time I was there and it's really terrific now. The SR-71 Blackbird is also there (close to my heart) as well as the most beautiful flying object ever created by man (obviously my opinion) - the Concord.
I then returned to the Mall where I saw that the military had set up a huge display with lots of tents, ATV's, helicopters, tanks, etc. I walked over to see what was going on and happened to walk into the section reserved for the special forces. There I found a mobile tank used to demonstrate deep sea diving missions - like bomb defusals. I only mention this because there was a diver in the tank, in full diving gear, demonstrating the detailed work they could do - while 3 other nearly naked sailors waited on the roof for their turn in the tank.
..... and those special forces boys are F I T !
OK - it was the appearance of the three naked sailors that drew me over to that section. So sue me.
Morning, smokers.
Yesterday late afternoon I had some time to kill in the Lincoln Center area - it was a gorgeous day so I headed for the fountain.
Alas, the place was packed with people staring at a man in a water-filled glass bubble. Holding their babies up to get pictures with him. It made me sick. It's LINCOLN CENTER.

"Entertainment" is a vague concept these days, Rath.
Mamie - you didn't try to climb in the tank? Talk about your basic entertainment!
I swear - as Las Vegas tries to turn itself into New York, New York is looking more and more like Las Vegas. You expect to see those kinds of stunts out there.
(Hi Charo! Looking adorable as ever! Hi Moony!)
Yawnnnnnnnn!, any real coffee? I think it may be time to invest in a second coffee pot. This half caf stuff is for the birds.
Good morning.
Just stopping by for a quick hello, and to wish everyone a nice day.
Quick hello back to Addy!
Where did my sweet hubby go?
Good morning Miss Addy. How are you feeling today?
I woke up real early, with lots of pep and energy. I did two loads of laundry (about 18 to go) and ran the vacuum and now.... I want to go back to bed! I'm suddenly so sleepy!
