Ooh, Dogwoods! Put them next to azaleas and I'm in Heaven!
So am I, gh... I think they are just perfect.
I always love watching the Masters, not just because I'm a fan of golf, but because that golf course is heaven on earth. The azalea and dogwood and perfectly groomed grounds, with the little bridges over the streams... picture perfect!
Addy a few things planned - and hopfefully some R& R too.
Sounds like you are a bit ahead of us compare to here. The daffodils are just blooming and some trees have that fuzzyness about them when the buds are just popping.

*sigh* This Virginia boy is WAY back in my memories . . .
Addy - the Master's this year was GREAT - and Augusta was GORGEOUS on Sunday! Have you ever been to Azalea Gardens down in Norfolk - unbelievable in the spring - 30 foot tall Azaleas in full bloom - in every color!
Oh, and 'hi' Hep
We probably are, Kansas. Even my sister's house in PA is a little ahead of my parent's house in CT. But, this warm weather should make the remaining buds just pop.
I simply love this time of year!
R&R sounds perfect...
DG, I've never been there... but will now have to make it a point to go!
And now, I'm off for the evening... will see you all later. Or tomorrow.
Enjoy!

I'm going to the Huntington this weekend, which should be just exploding.

hep - but you're out of the heat now!
Yes, we are.
how'ja do, Kansas? (I'm with the DC contingent.)
Miss P and I were passing some gorgeous pink dogwoods that are just starting their blooming now. We had to stop and admire them, they were that lovely. With this heat, they'll be fully open tomorrow or the next day.
(Truthfully I've always loved the white dogwoods much more than the pinks, but these were really beautiful.)
I love this time of year... last night walking to dinner the magnolias and rhodies were in full bloom.
sigh... I think we've all got spring fever!
This was a great day to come out of hiding! Hi, everyone!
I've been focused on work and had to make myself stay away from the board...it's too addictive for me! (But I'm not complaining. )
The pears trees in front of our house were shedding their white blossoms today. My son was looking out the window and said, "It's snowing!"
My daughter and I had lunch in Dupont Circle with Mamie. It was wonderful.

Hi MP, please stay around, these adults need a little family talk now and then!

Just got home from having my Martini time at the local - and the sun is blazing down on San Francisco - the entire street is filled with the aroma of Honeysuckle and Magnolia. I think spring has finally arrived here! Have a great night everyone.
Brd, You want "family" talk, and I need "lawyer" talk!!!
My husband just got back from a neighborhood association meeting. Ugh. The woman who's president wants to do all sorts of things without following the bylaws or having members vote, and so forth.
Man, people get so deranged when they perceive themsleves as having "power." Good lord.
It IS better to live a child's world, isn't it?

Cheese - do you know the former poster beaverhausen? He was very funny and missed!
MP - I live in the city - no associations, but the Alderman's office did respond today to my complaint!
Good Evening all - I too have had a little trouble getting to the boards lately. Real life just has too many interruptions. Luckily I don't have to work at my school job tomorrow - Good Friday off. I still have cleaning, church and my other job along with trying to decide what to do for Easter with the family. Miss P did I just read that you get to go back to NYC in a couple weeks? What's the deal. I'm so so so jealous. I'm already thinking of when I might be able to sneak back there. Maybe this summer for a quick trip.
I give you a lot of credit raising kids in the city. My parents moved us out of NYC and into the nearby suburbs when I was 5 and my brother was 10. To this day, he is MANIC!

MP - little credit - our house is a postage stamp! But, the kids are happy!
My kids LOVE Manhattan. When we left last time, my son cried and said, "I want to go back to New York!"
Hi, Addict!!
It's hard to come back to reality, isn't it? And you were gone for 10 whole days. That's REALLY disorienting, isn't it?
I go back a week from tomorrow, April 21. Don't mean to make you jealous though!
Wish you were going to be there, too.

*cries* "I want to go back to New York!"
"I want to go back to New Yrok."
Don't we all, Little Sally. Don't we all.
Hey, Brd, have you seen the new Chicago production of Urinetown that people are raving about?
