Sorry to interrupt - here for a brief moment to send Addy love and Lincoln love to Daydreamer and hope that Rath sees my handprint on this thread again. (She might have missed me again). If you have, Rath, cyber hugs to you.
pattifan - you're never interrupting! I think you should play with us more often!

Very sweet of you, Addy. I'm heading off to Bedfordshire very shortly (these bloody timezones!), but I'll be sure to make time very soon. Love to all. And another cyber hug for Rath.
Sweet dreams!
Hi Addy!
The Paul Simon concert last night was great! Paul played a nice mix of new songs with solo hits and Simon and Garfunkel classics. We were treated to chestnuts like "Slip Sliding Away", "Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard", "Mrs. Robinson", "Graceland", "Diamonds on The Soles of Her Shoes", "Cecilia", and "Still Crazy After All These Years". Paul did two encores which featured "You Can Call Me Al", "The Only Living Boy in New York", "The Boxer" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water". Paul is truly a genius. I was with someone who is a relative of Paul's, so we did have backstage priveleges, but I chose to hang back as my friend said that Paul is kind of shy. She did deliver some brownies to Paul that my Mother (who was also in attendance) had made for him!
We dined on Teriyaki Salmon, Crisp Green beans with almonds, Tomato, Cucumber, Onion and Dill salad , and Wild rice with pecans and cranberries under the stars. - Also, said brownies and fresh fruit were shared for dessert. Much wine was consumed. It was a sultry night in Georgia, but very enjoyable. Good stuff!
Gotta run now - I'll check in later yall!
HI ALL! I'm trying to get in the habit of posting more and I thought I'd just say hello!

omg, they just deleted my av.
Well the one you have now is nice!
Hey, cheeze - does this sound like the recipe you were talking about a few pages back?
Rose Sorbet with Champagne
2 cups (gently packed) rose-petals from roses (pesticide free)
I cup plus 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
3 cups cold water
3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
I cup brut or extra-dry Champagne or sparkling wine
I tablespoon rose water, for a more intense flavor, optional
Process the rose petals with the sugar in a food processor until the mixture turns into a smooth paste, about 30 seconds; stop to scrape down the sides as necessary. Add 1/2 cup of the water and process for about 10 seconds. Add the remaining 2 1/2 cups water, the lemon juice, Champagne, and rose water if using. Pour the liquid through a fine sieve. Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's directions.

Thanks Addy! I'm new to the posting here so be gentle with me.
I've had 'A Chorus Line' playing in my head... I'd say that alone made it a good day!
