My Mister Wilson memorabilia is safe. I've surrounded everything with big porterhouse steaks. It's like garlic to cows.
And, Harris, I grew up in a dairy farming community. I like cows. My favorite mug is my "Barishnycows" mug with cows doing ballet positions.
Bboobs is back! Hoooray! How insane were Logan and Toby to see Daddy come home? Did he bring us souvenoirs? Did he? Did he?

I rest my case.
Anyone know what kind of dog that is in that movie, How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days?

beacs, they've been at his brother's house. His nephew asked him if they could stay a little bit longer, even though he has a dog of his own! I think the dogs are glad to be back in their own space.
Harris, I don't own it. It's on channel 2.
Just saw your link. Gotta go check it out. Thanks!

Close your eyes...And go back...
....Before the Internet or PC or the MAC......
....Before semi-automatics and crack....
....Before Playstation, SEGA, Super Nintendo, even before Atari...
....Before cell phones, CD's, DVD's, voicemail and e-mail....

Laughing so hard that your stomach hurt
Being tired from PLAYING
WORK: meant taking out the garbage or doing the dishes
Your first crush
Your first kiss (I mean the one that you kept your mouth CLOSED and your eyes OPEN
Rainy days at school meant playing "Heads up 7UP" or hangman" in
The classroom, Remember that?
Oh, I'm not finished yet....
Kool-Aid was the drink of the summer
So was a swig from the hose
Giving your friends a ride on your handlebars
Wearing your new shoes on the first day of school
Class Field Trips with soggy sandwiches
When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there
When a quarter seemed like a fair allowance;
and another quarter a MIRACLE
When ANY parent could discipline ANY kid, or feed him, or use him
to carry groceries...And nobody, not even the kid, thought a thing of it.
When your parents took you to McDonalds and you were COOL
When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared to
the fate that awaited you at home.
Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it wasn't because of
drive by shootings, drugs, gangs, etc.
Our parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat! And some of
us are still afraid of em!
Didn't that feel good? Just to go back and say, "Yeah, I remember
that!"
Well, let's keep going!!
Let's go back to the time when...
Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-mo"
Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!"
"Race issues" meant arguing about who ran the fastest.
Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "monopoly"
Catching fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening
It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends.
Being old, referred to anyone over 20. (CRAP! I'm officially old!)
The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties.
Nobody was prettier than Mom
Scrapes and bruises were kissed by mom or grandma and made better
It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the amusement park.
Getting a foot of snow was a dream come true.
Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare"
Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles.
The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team.
Water balloons were the ultimate, ultimate weapon.
Older siblings were your worst tormentors, but also your fiercest protector
If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!!!
Pass this on to anyone who may need a break from their "grown up" life......I TRIPLE DOG DARE YA!!!!!!
Lived, lived, lived!
Welcome home, Boobs!
Yay... boobsie's back!!!
I'm having one of those insomnia nights... no sleep. *sigh* I doubt they'll believe me at work when I call in for a sick day... oh well.
Morning hugs to Addy & DD. Stinks being back at work, but at least I slept well last night after my 18 hour flight back home. Didn't sleep much on the plane with a screaming child 2 row in front of me...and she wasn't even a baby. Oh well.
Hope you can have a nap later DD.
Wow... it seems I'm not the only magnet for screaming children on airplanes.
I just sent an email to work saying I might not be in. I'm dead tired.
Take the day off and relax DD..you need your rest.
YAY

Morning, all.
Welcome home, Boobsididdlicious.
SOMMS hasn't posted since last Wednesday - has anyone talked to or heard from him?
Hi harris, Moonie and DG. I've missed you all !!! Hopefully I'll be out early today...trying to fix all the problems I came back to....UGH !!!!
Hey, everyone.
Now in addition to worrying about Somms with the flooding situation, I wonder if his job is affected by the Governor's edict.

Boobs, you didn't parachute down as you crossed over DC!
(On second thought, that may not have been the best thing to do. I'm not sure even "Mame" was worth being being handcuffed and tackled by the Secret Service. Then again, maybe you would have enjoyed that. )

Is SOMMS still MIA? What gives? I hope he's okay!
Bboobs...did you bring Toby and Logan souvenoirs?
And, everyone, don't forget to wish Mister Wilson a happy birthday on the thread I created. He's 33 and a new daddy.
