Deet, you start whistling. That always drived me crazy when a professor would do that!

How pretty, Matt! Dustings are nice because they don't impede driving.
Back for a brief moment. Dear lord, a freshman has a ferrett in her locker. Yes, she put it there. It's wearing a Christmas bow. Time to let school out for the break. Right. Now.

Posted: 12/9/11 at 1:33pmMy brother had 2 ferrets. They're stinky, nasty creatures. Actually one was nice...the other one would bite. They would always get out of their crate. The vicious one I would have to throw a towel over to capture it and put it back in the crate.

Sounds like a date I once had.

This just in:

Today is one of those days where I'm working like a lunatic, but can't actually finish anything because when I start one project an email comes in needing something else urgently, and as I try to get that finished someone stops by with a quick request and as I try to take care of that the phone rings with someone who needs something else and as I try to answer that a meeting notice pops up that I have to be in the conference room for a meeting and as I head to that I remember that I've wanted to go to the ladies room since I arrived at 8am this morning, and as I run to the ladies room someone stops me to see if I can send then something pertaining to the first project I tried to work on...
How can I be so busy and get absolutely nothing done? Except actually, finally make it to the ladies room?
*exhausted*
Remind me not to let members of my team take a Friday off in December. Or ever.

Oh, and Hugh raised over $60,000 during his BC/EFA auction after the show on Wednesday.
Amazing.
He auctioned off his shirt with a visit/photos/chat backstage.
The opening bid was $1,000.
A woman immediately bid $10,000.
Another man offered $15,000.
(Whatever happened to $500 increments?!)
The first woman offered $20,000.
Hugh threw in a belt, along with the shirt.
The second man agreed to the shirt that Hugh wore in the first act for $15,000.
Then, as Hugh was saying that for $2,500 he would meet people after the 'shirt bidders' were done, another man shot up his hand and said that he'd pay $25,000 for anything else Hugh was wearing...
Hugh laughed and said that he'd given up alot more for alot less in his day... *fans self*
The audience was going wild, and Hugh was just amazed. He's been incredibly successful with his auctions, but this was wild. $60,000 just for asking!
A great cause.
Go Hugh Jackman.

Posted: 12/9/11 at 3:07pmI'm also having an Addyday. Sheesh people, it's a Friday, in December. Lay off! On top of it all I've just been given another assignment to lead a task force for the Gov. It's on traumatic brain injuries. I'm doing research by banging my head on my desk repeatedly.

Boobs, With all those bidders going backstage for visits, people would be waiting at the stage door into the wee hours of the night!
Somms, I'm banging my head, too. I'll let you know the results for your research. I have about 2 months of projects to finish up in less than 2 weeks. Perhaps if I don't sleep...
Bah humbug.
I need to make some plans for a festive weekend so I can enjoy some holiday cheer! Oh, wait!...

Bah humbug, indeed! Feel better, hep.
I'm still in the office. The final kick was that despite year-end billing reports being due today, the woman who reports to me who manages a segment of the account left early, without letting me know and without resolving a discrepancy. I just hit the ceiling. I found a solution, but this could have cost me my dinner plans!
And that would have made me MAD!
My dinner plans include eating alot of CHEESE and drinking some bubbles. Work will NOT get in the way of that!

You'll have to warm up the Porsche for them. Unless it's been destryoed already.
Morning!
Still recovering from the weekend. I don't think I've ever consumed that much cheese and champagne in a 36 hour period before.
