Thanks for the critique!!
I agree with that Spidey, you have lots of range, go for songs that show it off.
You're welcome.
I am trying to be real, but also constructive rather than just mean for the sake of mean. ::coughBSoBW3cough::
So you just say what I say but nicer?
::takes notes::
Yes, BSO, it's called respect. Patronus gives constructive criticism. You try to be funny in a rude way that shows no respect for any of us.
I was going to do "Footloose" which I think would have shown it off more, but that karaoke track was beyone horrible, so I went with this. Do I regret it? No! Why? Because I had fun with it even though so far no one has really liked it. But, next week I am doing an Oasis song that I think will show off my range more. I tend to do better with acoustic sounding music than I do with big, loud music as evident of this week's selection.
As for the Canadian side of the theme, I am having the hardest time finding a karaoke track for anyone. I listened to "Somwhere out There" and some notes are too low for me and it is kind of slow. I want something more upbeat . . . not fast . . . but upbeat. Any suggestions or anyone have karaoke tracks?
I love critiques, even if it is against my favor but when people say stuff for the sake of being mean, that is when I have a problem .
Well, considering the circumstances...ya get what ya give.
Not you, personally.
I wasn't actually being mean to spider. Just trying to show him how I felt...metaphorically. PLUS - I gave him a suggestion.
Kerrie and I joke about the vibrato.
As for the others...sometimes I get bored.
I was about to say . . . I have never been mean to you or said anything against you so there is no reason. And even if someone did say something against you, be an adult and let it slide.
No. I don't believe that anyone deserved to be spoken to so rudely. None of us had perfect performances, and I am always happy to hear what I did wrong and how I can improve.
But, I should think as someone who loves this artform as much as I gather you do, you would treat it with more respect.
And THAT is why I deplore the nastiness that goes on all over this board. Criticism is fine--healthy and necessary. But nastiness is not. And it is a great disrespect. Particularly when all of us are throwing these clips together with every obstacle possible: crappy recording issues, schedules, limitations because of karoake tracks, etc.
And, if it's about giving what you get--let's see YOU put your ass on the line by putting your voice out there for the public to dissect.
Oh, I am just being mean to be mean.
No personal vendettas. Well, maybe a little one this last round.
Which I won't go into at the request of someone else.
But spider is mad chill. So whatever I crticize in this thread, I leave here.
And of course, I have respect for you doing this. And knowing where you are vocally (not getting all egotistical, acting like you are G-d's gift, aghem).
Ok. Good. As long as there is an understanding.
Now, back to the fun...
Well the "being mean to be mean" comment goes for anyone, not just you. And your opinion is your opinion, I am just saying we do have feelings so just take into account that some things said by you and others hit really close to home.
fun, was there fun around here?
"fun, was there fun around here?"
Not while I'm around!
Where is Cam and Tiff's reviews?
Hopefully they are coming.
Since they both actually do "other things" it may be awhile.

No one here thinks they are God's gift to the music world. We're here to have fun. Some people take advantage of that obnoxiously and it in turn causes people to get hurt (including me).

Tiff and Cam do other things? Really? Wow.
I didn't know life existed outside BWW...
Tiff's comments live vicariously through mine.
But she'll make it more constructive.
You know, ya can't help that which isn't there...joking. Of course.
The irony of the situation is I was proponent of theatrebabe.
So, the worse I am to you, the more pity votes you get.
Could it all be a backhanded aid?
And for y'all who think I am REALLY being serious....I'm not really.

You were proponent of me? I didn't notice!
....when?
In the very beginning.
I wanted to put you through and hope you made a better song choice.
But, we decided not to...
And then we needed an extra wildcard.
