I didn't tell them to come here! lol
She doesn't have fangs,
So vote for the bangs!
That sounded like a Catie cheer to me...
Oh, I should mention that you guys aren't obligated to vote for two people. If there's only one person you'd like to vote for, then put that one person's name in the title and it'll count for two votes.
I'm going to start writing up my critiques soon. I've got to say that overall, I was pretty...okay, very...disappointed.
You guys have been great in the weeks leading up to this, so it was sort of a let down.

Ohhh have fun Kerrie! I'm jealous.
As I said I am much harsher than usual:
Kitzarina:
You sounded a little off pitch again this week. Missing several of the notes all along. There were many spots were the beltier parts just seemed forced. The tone was solid though, and the sound of your voice I still adore. As always I love that you put so much emotion into the songs, you are the one who always seems to be "acting" it. Which gives you extra points in my book. Overall though this was not one of your better performances.
Ebonic Singer: Very nice job with doing few riffs. It was nice to hear your voice basically sing the song in a "rock style." There were still places were I felt that you pushed for an effect that you did not reach. It was one of your stronger efforts. But by the end, you were not hitting all the notes and alternated between mumbling and screaming.
Jerby: I give extra points for going accapella. You once again blow me away with your ability to "sell" a song. You are the most accomplished performer in the group and that seems to come through. This one really showed off your vocal quality as well. By far my favorite performance of the week.
SpiderDj:
I thought it was strong for the most part, but I agree with Caietie, you seemed to get to loud and scream some parts of it. There were some areas when you seemed just off, like you were unsure of the lyrics. Again a good, but not great performance.
Kerrie:
Very solid performance. On in almost every way. Vocally stunning and you voice has that professional quality. It did not convince me on the acting front though. I did not think you "were" Eva Peron.
*covers eyes* I don't want to read Clay's review and get influenced by what he had to say, but I have a feeling I'll agree wtih that he said!
I'm heading out now.. I will revist my critiques once I get to my dad's house and then post them..
*hem hem* (in an Umbridge way)
I'm just making clear that the people who are currently voting with only one name in the subject title are aware that they have the opportunity to vote for two people, and that by voting for just this one person, it'll count for two votes in their favor. Is that known?
Hey folks - just got home and am in the process of downloading the all-in-one file. Can't wait to hear everyone!
That is known.
As usual I am holding my votes for later.
First off, a general note - there is GOOD news and BAD news.
The BAD NEWS is you all SUCKED.
The GOOD NEWS is...you ALL sucked.
1) "Journey to the Past", Anastasia - Kitzarina
Great song, doesn't fit so well in your voice, huh? The ending is proof you are trying too hard. If you can't hold a note that long, don't. It went from unimpressively hitting the note to...well - just plain annoying. Next time, let's ix-nay otes-nay ustaining-say.
2) "Joy to the World", Forrest Gump - Ebonic_Singer
Was this recorded in a Karaoke bar, or do you just suck? Seriously, I am seriously asking. Because, well, it sounded like that. Very...off. And how wrong you should sing "Joy...to the world."
3) "Go the Distance", Hercules - jrb_actor
A capella is a very risky choice. Especially since it left your voice feeling very empty. At the end, however, your voice seemed to take hold of the song and the notes became whole, as they should be. Overall, it was an average attempt.
4) "Power of Love", Back To The Future - Spiderdj82
You know when you run a race? The beginning is all adrenline pumping. Then the gun fires! And there is this huge rush of power. And you run the race, but by the end, you are out of breath. And finally you finish and just pass out at the finish line? Yeah? Well, skip the actual race - and that was your submission. The music is so energetic, then your voice just can't match the high energy. If the music is more interesting, a problem you now have. My suggestion: stick to slower, quiter songs.
5) "You Must Love Me", Evita - WesternSky2
Well, at least you have no vibrato, right? /sarcasm. Overall very good - probably the best of this lot.
P.S. Don't vote for Ebby. Sorry, I am sick of this cry baby routine of yours. And the fact that you complain, "I have no friends"...but then you say that your friends are voting for you. So, 6 people vote only for Ebby, and he receives 12 votes. Meanwhile, someone else votes once for Kerrie and once for Jerby and they each receive only one vote. Yes, that's the rule. But, it is now obvious that certain people are no match for this competition.
Don't hold back, BSo.
Don't encourage me, Tiff.
Seriously, by this point they all need to be able to withstand the BsO lashing.
Surely there was something you didn't like, BSo. Why all the positive feelings, all of a sudden?
It's a character builder.
And if the occasional weakling cries, I become a better person.
Your whimpering only makes me meaner.
ETA: See, Tiff. DAMN! I forgot to use my comment "Sounds like someone croacking out the croacking chrous of the Frogs by Aristophanes. I think that was supposed to be for Kitz..."

I seriously have nothing to say. Besides the fact that you're a complete asshole.

I'm just glad neither of you have first post.
So far, my favorite has been jrb's. But I've only listened so a few so far. :)
Allie - The secret of my identity will be revealed at the end. And like always, the end will leave you happy.
(Well, maybe not you - since you lost...But, in my defense, I only voted against you once. And I felt so bad after it, I didn't have sugar for an hour.)
