Sooner or Later's a great song.
Just sayin'...
Last time we had acappella Sondheim, it was Cruel_Sandwich doing "Ballad of Sweeney Todd". Just sayin'.
I've now received both of jrb's songs, and Spidey's "Don't Look Back In Anger". And both of Kitz's.
Just waiting for Spidey's Buble, and both of Kerrie's.

I'm worried that I'm going to miss this round. I'm going home on Sunday for awhile. I'll either be back on Wednesday, or not until next Sunday. Fingers are crossed that the home computer works this week!
*gasp* Wait, you mean on Sunday you won't get to use the Net, or you will??

I probably won't. My mom and sister will be here around lunchtime, and then we're leaving. We're going to my aunt's for the night, and they're on dial-up. Then home sometime on Monday... but probably late, because we're going prom dress shopping with my sister.
Am I going to miss everything?
Since it's the final four, I was contemplating extending the voting deadline by a few days, so newbies could hop on board. (Plus if I'm working, I might not be home until really late on Monday. Or Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, for that matter.)

Awesome. Okay, no worries, then. I'll listen to them somehow!
Well, listening won't be hard - but you've gotta vote!
BTW, I'm going to keep it that you can vote for two people this week, but you can't vote for someone twice - it has to be two different people.
Wait, we could have voted for the same person twice in past rounds? Damn.
Your avatar is still amusing me Tiff, it's such a necessary myspace picture.
Yeah, you could've, and it meant that some votes were getting really skewed, so now I've changed it so you either HAVE to vote for two people, or you can vote for one person, but it only counts as one vote, not two.
I like my avatar too. I'm glad she's not a goody-two-shoes!

Tiff, did you hear that Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend broke up?
perezhilton.com
Her arms are really skinny. I have arm envy. One beer probably puts her under the table!
It looks like she has a lime in her beer, so she is doing like we do here with Coronas. Gotta add the lime!
There was a rumor when I went to Mexico about Corona employees peeing into the beer. But, I am sure that is just a nasty rumor.
So, what's the schedule for the next round?
YWIW, I wouldn't be surprised (re: peeing into the beer) - why else is cerveza so cheap?! It's scared me off of Mexican beer for good.
Allie, OMG I had no idea! Poor guy - maybe he's looking for a rebound hook-up in the form of a shorter, less attractive Asian-Canadian gal?
Spidey, you mean the 3 song one? We can give you guys another 10 days. It's pretty flexible. Stephen's in NY over St. Patrick's Day.
Ya killing me babe! Ya killing me!
*sharpens knife*
Come closer...
I'll just play you my canada song and you will be dead by your brain exploding before you even reach me with that knife. MUAHAHA.
Now you have me worried.
You know, if you've got a raspy voice, Bryan Adams is probably a safer bet.
I don't know. I really wanted to do Buble, but because he is a baritone it is kinda hard for me to hit his low notes anyway and then on top of that I have the severe cold that I have had for over a week that has my throat hurting all the time and then my voice goes really quickly. I am glad I got that Oasis song done because right after, my voice went kapoot!
I'm glad too - I like Oasis more than Buble!
Do you have a back-up song if you can't do Buble?

Suuummmeeeerr of '69...
Yeah, "Summer of 69." I am listening to that now over and over so I can learn how it goes so I can record it tomorrow morning.
I've narrowed (yes, this is it narrowed) possible U2 songs to the ones that would sound okay without backup vocals, also keeping in mind that some of the more obscure songs I like are probably not available in karaoke:
From 80-90:
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
With Or Without You
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
Bad (this is a toughie though)
When Love Comes To Town (stylistically, pretty un-U2)
Angel of Harlem
From the 90-00:
Even Better Than The Real Thing
Beautiful Day
Miss Sarajevo (you'd have to do a fairly credible Pavorotti though)
Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
"How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb":
Love And Peace Or Else (muy sexy!)
Original Of The Species
(But I'm kind of sick of this CD, since I went to their Vertigo concert 4 times last year, and Stephen probably feels the same way.)
I'm SURE there's more I'd add to that list, so expect this to be edited a few times.
what is your ALL TIME FAVORITE U2 song?
OH F*CK!!! I forgot that the show's tomorrow, and I've made plans from morning till afternoon!
*dies*
Does anyone want a night-time show tomorrow? Like, 8pmEST? (Ending in time for Grey's Anatomy, natch.)
