Yeah, I know, I know. It really did nothing for me on the recording (and still doesn't), but Bono cracking out the opera at MSG made me view it in a whole other light. It was effin' fantastic!

Well, Bad might be a favorite, but (as we saw with those 2U folks) it can be a bitch to sing (the "wide awake" bits especially). You don't want to pick a song with the potential to be totally cringeworthy.

I love Running to Stand Still...arg...let me bust out my DellPod and see if I can come up with some more songs with potential (I listed a slew over on the U2 thread as well).

Oasis is for tomorrow. U2 is its own theme next week! (Along with Sondheim and Goo Goo Dolls/Good Charlotte.)

So Claire, what's your vote? I've already assigned Kerrie to "One". And jrb's called...something that I should look up. So we need something for Kitzarina and Spidey.

Edit: Technically the vote was for what your all-time favorite U2 song is, which was "Bad", right?

OOoohhhh...I thought this was for Brit week. I guess it would be a little late to still be choosing a song, though! A whole show devoted to U2, eh? I'm not sure, I'll think of a few. And yes, my all-time favorite U2 song (actually, all-time favorite song ever) is, without a question, Bad. But I'm not sure I'd like to hear someone sing it for BWW Idol.

I don't know. What type of song are you looking for? Ballad-types (All I Want Is You, Stay (Faraway, So Close)) more rock (Mysterious Ways, I Will Follow, Until the End of the World), something more middle of the road (New Year's Day, Sweetest Thing).
